The Helgeland Museum is a group of 18 museums and collections of buildings in 18 municipalities in Helgeland, Norway. [1] The concept of the museum is to distribute the museum's expertise across Helgeland. This allows people with special professional skills to work for all of the museums in this collaboration. The Helgeland Museum has about 49 permanent employees. Its administrative office is on Sjøgata (Sea Street) in Mosjøen. [2]

Artscape Nordland is an international art project that aims to bring art to people where they live, art museums being few and far apart in the sparsely populated county of Nordland. The first phase of the project lasted from 1992 until 1998. The project included 33 sculptures by 33 artists from 18 different countries placed in 32 municipalities in Nordland county plus 1 municipality in Troms county. Additional artwork was installed in 2009, 2010, and 2015, bringing the total to 36 sculptures installed.

Bardal is a village in Leirfjord Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located along the south coast of the Ranfjorden, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the village of Hemnesberget. The village surrounds the Bardalselva river which flows into the fjord. Bardal Church was built in 1887 on a hill near the mouth of the river. The Bardal area was historically part of both Nesna Municipality and Hemnes Municipality, but it became part of Leirfjord Municipality in 1964.
Helgeland Kammerkor is a mixed choir from the region of Helgeland in Northern Norway. The choir was founded in Sandnessjøen i 1992, and currently has around 30 members. The members of Helgeland Kammerkor meet once a month for rehearsals, and give concerts 4-5 times a year. The choir has a broad repertoire that includes church music, madrigals, Nordic folk music and large concert works such as Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. From 2009 to 2018 the choir was conducted by Christopher Eva.

The Nordland Fotballkrets(Nordland Football Association) is one of the 18 district organisations of the Norwegian Football Federation. It administers lower tier football in the traditional district of Helgeland and Salten.
