Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual riders or teams race a course alone against the clock. Stage races or "tours" take multiple days, and consist of several mass-start or time-trial stages ridden consecutively.

His cousin, Connor Swift, is also an English professional road racing cyclist, and the 2018 British champion.
Didier Henriette is a French professional racing cyclist who was active as an elite track cyclist between 2003 and 2008. In 2007 and 2008, he competed as part of the French Cofidis sprint cycling team in the UEC European Track Championships and the Los Angeles Team Sprint Competition.
Team Qhubeka was a UCI WorldTeam based in South Africa. The team rode to raise awareness and funds for Qhubeka, a South African not-for-profit organisation. The team was founded in 2007 and was the first-ever African team to ride the Tour de France (2015).
Barbara Guarischi is an Italian racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam SD Worx. She competed in the 2013 UCI women's team time trial in Florence. In November 2015 she was announced as part of the Canyon–SRAM team's inaugural squad for the 2016 season.
The 2014 Tour of Flanders for Women was the 11th running of the women's Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's bicycle race in Belgium. It was the third race of the 2014 UCI Women's Road World Cup season and was held on 6 April 2014 over a distance of 139 kilometres, starting and finishing in Oudenaarde.
Eduardo Sepúlveda is an Argentine racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Lotto–Dstny. He rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships.

Miles Scotson is an Australian track and road cycling racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Groupama–FDJ. Scotson was a student at Trinity College Gawler, completing his studies in 2011. Scotson's first professional victory was the 2017 Australian National Road Race Championships. In May 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Giro d'Italia.
Fernando Gaviria Rendón is a Colombian professional road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Movistar Team. He is well known as a sprinter. Riding for the Colombian national cycling team, Gaviria came to international attention at the 2015 Tour de San Luis, where he beat former world champion Mark Cavendish in two sprint finishes. His first major Grand Tour wins came at the 2017 Giro d'Italia. He is the brother of track cyclist Juliana Gaviria. His nickname is "Quetzal splendente", from the brightful and colourful South American bird Quetzal. Its colours recall his world championship titles, his Colombia and "la maglia Ciclamino" won at Giro d'Italia.
Dylan Kennett is a New Zealand professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team St George Continental Cycling Team. Of Māori descent, Kennett affiliates to the Ngāi Tahu iwi.
The 2015 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad – Women's race was raced on 28 February 2015. It was the 10th women's edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. The race started and finished in Ghent, Belgium, totaling 120.5 kilometres in the province of East Flanders. Dutch rider Anna van der Breggen won in a two-up sprint with Ellen van Dijk.
Team Rytger powered by Cykeltøj-Online.dk is a cycling team based in Denmark. In 2015 it was registered as a UCI Women's Team, enabling it to compete in elite road bicycle racing events such as the UCI Women's Road World Cup, but returned to the Danish national ranks from 2016.
