Henrik Furebotn (born 11 February 1986) is a former Norwegian football midfielder.

Club career

He was capped for Norway as a youth international. He signed for Sogndal prior to the 2006 season, having previously played for Årdal in the Second Division. He made his first team debut against Pors in the first round of Adeccoligaen in 2006 on 9 April 2006. His debut in Tippeligaen came on 20 March 2010 against Strømsgodset in the first round of Tippeligaen in 2010. Before the start of the 2015 season, he joined Bodø/Glimt, rejoining Sogndal in 2016. [1] In 2018 Furebotn decided to retire from football. [2]

Rosenborg were the defending champions, having secured their twenty-second League Championship on 24 October 2010. Sogndal, Sarpsborg 08 and Fredrikstad entered as the three promoted teams from the 2010 1. divisjon. They replaced Hønefoss, Kongsvinger and Sandefjord who were relegated to the 2011 1. divisjon.

The 2014 season was Sogndal's fourth consecutive season in the Tippeligaen. They finished the season in 15th place, being relegated to the OBOS-ligaen, whilst also reaching the Fourth Round of the Norwegian Cup where they were beaten by Viking.

The 2016 season is Sogndal's first season back in the Tippeligaen since their relegation at the end of the 2014 season.
