Henrik Gjesdal (born 19 July 1993) is a Norwegian professional footballer and chess player who plays for Moss, as a centre back. [2]
In April 2013 he signed his first contract with Brann, due after the 2013 season, after 7 years as a youth player. Gjesdal became a first team regular due to injuries on fellow centre backs Markus Jonsson and Simen Wangberg, and was called up to the national under-21 team. He debuted on 5 June as a substitute in a friendly match against Finland. On 3 October 2013 he signed a contract keeping him with Brann until the end of the 2015 season. [3] Before the last game of the 2013 season against Tromsø, he was named Young Player of the Year by the supporters. [4] Despite this, on 12 March 2014 it was announced that Gjesdal would leave on a four-month-long loan to 1. divisjon club Nest-Sotra. [5]
In the summer 2014 Gjesdal signed a 2+1⁄2-year contract with Tromsø.

Sigurd Rushfeldt is a Norwegian football coach and former player who works as an assistant coach for Tromsø. During his playing career, he played for Tromsø, Birmingham City, Rosenborg, Racing de Santander, and Austria Wien. As a forward, he is well known for his strength and for being a prolific goalscorer. Rushfeldt is the all-time top goal scorer of Eliteserien.
Helge Haugen is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Bergen, Haugen started his professional career in the local Tippeligaen club Brann. During his time at the club, he won the 2004 Norwegian Football Cup and the 2007 Tippeligaen. He has later played for Tromsø and Hønefoss, before he joined Sogndal ahead of the 2014 season. Haugen played one match for the Norwegian under-21 team in 2003.

The 2009 season was SK Brann's 101st season and their 23rd consecutive season in the Tippeligaen. Steinar Nilsen took over as head coach after the six-year tenure of Mons Ivar Mjelde. The club didn't see the big signings or sales in the January transferwindow. Local-lad Erlend Hanstveit left the club after 10 years, while thought-to-be star striker Njogu Demba-Nyrén was sold only one year after signing with the club following a season where his performance was below expectations.
Ruben Yttergård Jenssen is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eliteserien club Tromsø, and the Norwegian national team. He was playing regularly for Tromsø in the Tippeligaen since 2008, and became one of the team's most important players before transferring to Kaiserslautern. Early in his career, Jenssen played as a winger, but he has later played as a central midfielder. Jenssen made his international debut for Norway in May 2010, and has since then been a member of the national team, and a regular starter since September 2012. He is the son of former footballer Truls Jenssen.
