Here She Comes-a-Tumblin' is the debut studio album by English progressive rock band Birdeatsbaby, first released on 1 June 2009. [1] [2]
The album was preceded by the China Doll EP, which featured three tracks from the full album, released on 1 January 2008, as well as the free single "What You Are", released on 5 May 2009, which had been cut from the record. [3]
On 1 April 2009 the band released their first ever music video, for the song "The Trouble..." to their official Youtube channel. [4] The video, which features stop motion-style imagery of the band performing the song, remains the most popular one on the channel with over 470,000 views as of 2021. Videos for the songs "I Always Hang Myself With The Same Rope" and "Miserable" were also uploaded around this time, but have since been made private.
Shortly after the album's release, beginning on 18 June 2009, the band went on their first tour to promote the album, making stops in the UK and Europe. Brighton-based drag queen Mister Joe Black accompanied them as their supporting act. [5] [6]
The album received generally positive reviews. The Glasgow-based independent music review site Bluesbunny said of Here She Comes A Tumblin', "There might well still be hope for popular music. Pomp, circumstance and dare I say it, real style are making a comeback." [7] Danny Wadeson of The 405 praised the instrumentation and commented, "It’s not often that a band or one of their albums conveys such a strong sense of personality, not contrived, just an unchained force of eccentric passion, and rarer still on a debut." [8]

Danny Weinkauf is a Grammy-winning New York–based musician and composer. He has been the longtime bassist for They Might Be Giants (TMBG). He has recorded and toured with the band since the late 1990s. Weinkauf had previously performed in a band called Lincoln along with TMBG's guitarist Dan Miller and drummer Gonzalo Martinez De La Cotera. He has written four songs for TMBG, all for their children's albums. Weinkauf wrote and sang "Where Do They Make Balloons?" on the children's album No!, "Number Two" from Here Come The 123s, "I Am a Paleontologist" from Here Comes Science, and "Elephants" from Why? He also played bass alongside bandmate John Flansburgh for his solo project Mono Puff, in addition to providing additional bass on John Linnell's State Songs album. In 2014 Weinkauf began releasing albums for children and families as "Danny Weinkauf". That year he released "No School Today" followed by "Red Pants Band" (2016), "Totally Osome!" (2017), "Inside I Shine" (2018), "Dinosaurs and Metaphors" (2020), "Words" (2021), "lullabies" (2022) and "Light Up Your Love" (2023). The later 7 albums were all released on his own label Red Pants Music except "Words". He performs live as 'Danny Weinkauf and his Red Pants Band' with Tina Kenny Jones on bass, keyboards, and vocals, Steven Plesnarski on drums and vocals, and Russ Jones on guitar, bass, vocals, and ukulele. His eight albums have received numerous awards and frequent rotation on kids radio such as Sirius XM's Kids Place Live.

Their music is noted for its orchestral elements, complex rhythms and exotic instrumentation, with lyrics referencing themes such as religion, alienation, sexual orientation, obsession and animal rights. According to group members, their influences include Chopin, Mozart, Debussy, Queen, Muse and Nick Cave. Since the release of their 2016 album Tanta Furia, their influences have also come from progressive metal artists such as Tool and Opeth.
