CIF Southern Section

The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and central and southern Santa Barbara counties. At the start of the 2018/9 season, 13 schools from San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County left the Southern Section to join the much smaller CIF Central Section. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos.

Los Angeles Baptist High School (LAB) was a Baptist, private, coeducational day school located in North Hills, California with approximately 848 students enrolled in grades 6 through 12. In the summer of 2012, the school was acquired by another Christian day school in the San Fernando Valley, and the two merged to become Heritage Christian Schools. The L.A. Baptist campus is now the South Campus of Heritage Christian School. The campus was home to approximately 945 students in grades 7-12 under LAB ownership.

Archbishop Stepinac High School is an all-boys Roman Catholic high school in White Plains, New York, United States. It was operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York until the 2009–2010 school year, when it became independent. It was founded in 1948 and named for Aloysius Stepinac, the Archbishop of Zagreb in Croatia, which was then part of Yugoslavia. In 1952, Stepinac was appointed a cardinal by Pope Pius XII.

Rowland High School, Diamond Bar High School and Bonita High School left the league after the 2013–14 school year, and Chino High School joined from the Palomares League.

The San Andreas League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. Members are located around San Bernardino County, California.

The San Joaquin League was a high school athletic league that was part of the CIF Southern Section. It was dissolved after the 2013-14 season, most of the schools moving to the Santa Cruz League.
