Hermotimus of Colophon [a] (born c. 325 BC [1] ) was an Ancient Greek mathematician who lived and worked in Colophon.
He was born and lived in Colophon.
Hermotimus of Colophon extended the work that had been done by Eudoxus and Theaetetus, made many discoveries in the Elements, and put together some material on the subject of Loci. [2] [3]
Hermotimus was a contemporary of Euclid and collaborated with him on Elements, his seminal work. [4] [3]
