Hertha Guthmar (born 1908) was a German film actress of the 1930s. [1]
Kurt Eisner was a German politician, revolutionary, journalist, and theatre critic. As a socialist journalist, he organized the Socialist Revolution that overthrew the Wittelsbach monarchy in Bavaria in November 1918, which led to his being described as "the symbol of the Bavarian revolution". He is used as an example of charismatic authority by Max Weber. Eisner subsequently proclaimed the People's State of Bavaria but was assassinated by far-right German nationalist Anton Graf von Arco auf Valley in Munich on 21 February 1919.

It is an adaptation of the 1920 French novel Ariane, jeune fille russe by Claude Anet. Two alternative language versions The Loves of Ariane and Ariane, jeune fille russe were made at the same time. The film was the inspiration of the 1957 Billy Wilder film Love in the Afternoon. Wilder remembered the film as "touching and funny". It was shot at the Staaken Studios in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Erich Zander and Karl Weber. Location shooting took place in Paris.

Ways to a Good Marriage is a 1933 German drama film directed by Adolf Trotz and starring Olga Tschechowa, Alfred Abel and Hilde Hildebrand. It was shot at the EFA Studios in Halensee in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Heinz Fenchel and Botho Hoefer. The film was based on the ideas of the sexologist Theodore H. Van de Velde and was in the tradition of the enlightenment films of the Weimar Republic. Although his work had already been forbidden by the new Nazi regime, it was not formally banned until 1937 despite protests by Nazi students in Kiel who were successful in having the film pulled from cinemas there.
