Hifazat is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by K. S. R. Das. The film stars Ashok Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Asha Sachdev, Narendra Nath and Lalita Pawar. The film was not a commercial success but songs are classics even today.

Parwana is a 1971 Indian Hindi-language psychological thriller film directed by Jyoti Swaroop. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death.

Kunwara Baap is a 1974 Hindi film produced by Amarlal Chabria and directed by and starring Mehmood. The film also stars Bharathi, and Vinod Mehra. Based on Charlie Chaplin's The Kid (1921), it is a film with a serious message about polio vaccination. However, Mehmood did some comedy scenes in the film to earn a Filmfare nomination as Best Comic, the only nomination for the film. Rajesh Roshan makes his debut as a film composer. The hijra song "Saj Rahi Gali" sung by Mohammed Rafi topped the annual Binaca Geet Mala, which was the only countdown show at the time. This film was Tamil actress Manorama's only film in Hindi, however, her lines consisted of some Tamil.

She won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Priyatama in 1978. She was the main lead in successful films like Hifazat (1973) and Ek Hi Raasta (1977). The song "Jis Kaam Ko Dono Aye Hai", picturised on her and Jeetendra from the film Ek Hi Raasta, sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle and composed by Rajesh Roshan remains popular, along with the popular qawwali song "Pal Do Pal Ka " from The Burning Train sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.
