Highlights is a dansband from Sweden, established in 2004 [1] by Andreas Wistrand, who had participated at Fame Factory, together with Henrik Sethsson.
In 2005, the band released its debut album, which received five plus by Aftonbladet. The band won the Guldklaven award in 2006, in the category Newcomer of the year. In 2007 the single "Varje liten droppe regn" charted at Sverigetoppen for 24 weeks.
In 2007, Andreas Wistrand recorded the Christmas single "Du är det enda jag vill ha" with Sandra Oxenryd, and the song was written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson and Ulf Georgsson. The band participated at Dansbandskampen 2008 and 2009.
In 2010, the band participated at Melodifestivalen together with MiSt, performing the song Come and Get Me Now, (written by Mia Terngård and Stefan Lebert), in which they were knocked out, finishing in 7th place.
Alcazar is a Swedish nu-disco group formed in Stockholm. The group is one of Sweden's most successful music acts, both nationally and internationally, achieving a series of hits since their debut single in 1999. Globally, Alcazar sold over 12 million records between 2001 and 2004. The group gained international recognition in 2000 with their song "Crying at the Discoteque," which charted in the USA, Brazil, Australia, Japan, and most European countries.
Casanovas is a Swedish dansband established in 1989 in Vadstena, Sweden. They won the Svenska dansbandsmästerskapen, the Swedish Dansband Competition in 1998 with Andreas Hedenskog as vocalist. The present line-up of the band is Henrik Sethsson on vocals, Jimmy Lindberg on guitar, Stefan Ryding on bass and Hans Plahn on drums.
Maria Magdalena Filipsson, known by her stage name Lena Philipsson, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and media personality. She represented Sweden in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing fifth. As of 2024, Philipsson is the female lead vocalist of the Swedish duo Roxette.

Sweden was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Invincible", written by Thomas G:son, Bobby Ljunggren, Henrik Wikström, and Carola Häggkvist, and performed by Carola herself. The Swedish participating broadcaster, Sveriges Television (SVT), selected its entry through Melodifestivalen 2006. Carola had already represented Sweden in 1983, and had won the contest in 1991.

Ingela Birgitta "Pling" Forsman is a Swedish lyricist in popular music. As a student Forsman attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. 1981–2009, 33 of her songs have competed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, three of them winners: Bra vibrationer (1985), Se på mej (1995) and Kärleken är (1998). She has also written the text to psalm number 862 in the Swedish hymn book, Blomningstid, and two children's books.
Erik Tommy Nilsson is a Swedish singer and songwriter.
Hans Thomas Eriksson, known by his stage name Orup, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician who enjoyed major success in his native country and Scandinavia in the late 1980s and early 1990s with songs like "Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar", "Regn hos mej", "M.B.", "Då står pojkarna på rad", "Magaluf", and "Stockholm". Orup has also written several songs for other performers. He wrote the winning song of Melodifestivalen 2004, "Det gör ont" performed by Lena Philipsson. He was one of the judges on X Factor in 2012. Orup also took part in season 5 of the Swedish TV-show Så mycket bättre, broadcast on TV4.
Friends was a Swedish dansband or pop group formed in 1999 and made up of Stefan Brunzell, Tony Haglund, Kristian Hermanson, Nina Inhammar, Kim Kärnfalk and Peter Strandberg. They were put together from auditions on the reality television show Friends på turne, made by Bert Karlsson for TV4. The show was a success and Friends competed on Melodifestivalen 2000, reaching second place. They won Melodifestivalen 2001 with "Lyssna till ditt hjärta" and represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the English version of the song, "Listen to Your Heartbeat.” Following their Eurovision participation, the Swedish delegation was forced to pay royalties to the team behind "Liefde is een kaartspel", the 1996 Belgian entry, making the song the first admitted case of plagiarism in Eurovision history.
