The Hills District Panthers is a defunct rugby league club from Brisbane, Australia. The Panthers played only one year, 2005, in the Mixwell Cup and Mixwell Colts Challenge. They were formed by the Arana Hills Panthers, a satellite club of the Wests Panthers, and while failed to make the finals of the Mixwell Cup, made the finals of the Mixwell Colts Challenge.

The Panthers adopted the Red and Black of Wests, along with Blue and White showed the Cronulla Sharks involvement with the club.

Towards the end of 2005, Hills District and Wests decided to enter a joint venture and be called Western Districts Panthers, playing out of Arana's Kev McKell Oval.

Craig Gower Australian rugby league and rugby union footballer

Craig Gower is an Australian former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. He is a dual-code rugby international, having played rugby league for Australia and rugby union for Italy. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian Kangaroos representative halfback or hooker, he played in the National Rugby League for Sydney club the Penrith Panthers. Gower then switched rugby union, playing for French Top 14 side Bayonne, and through grandparentage represented Italy. He returned to rugby league with the London Broncos in the Super League and then finished his playing career with one more National Rugby League season at the Newcastle Knights.

Brothers-Valleys

Brothers-Valleys were a rugby league team formed from a merger between the Brothers and Fortitude Valley Diehards teams in 2002. The team debuted in a pre-season match against St George-Illawarra in 2002, and for the next two seasons competed in the Brisbane A Grade Mixwell Cup and Mixwell Colts competitions, playing out of Perry Park in Mayne, Brisbane. In 2004 they moved to O'Callaghan Park in Zillmere and were accepted into the Queensland Cup, but in a year of poor performances both on and off the field they failed to win a single game and only managed a draw against the Souths Logan Magpies.

South East Poinsettias is the name of the southeast division of the Queensland Rugby League. They run competitions such as "The Mixwell Cup," which is the division below the Queensland Cup, and "The Mixwell Colts."

The Queensland Rugby League South East Division is a rugby league division responsible for the running of rugby league in South-East Queensland. This makes the South East Division responsible for the FOGS Cup, FOGS Colts Challenge and Brisbane Second Division competitions. This Division also administers the City team in the annual QRL City-Country match. It is also responsible for administering the game of rugby league across the Gold Coast and Ipswich. These two cities alone comprise over 7000 junior and senior players.

Wests Panthers

The Western Suburbs Panthers, or West Brisbane Panthers, or often simply referred to as Wests for short, are a rugby league club based in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The club is the oldest in the QRL and despite absences from the top grade in recent years and several name changes the club continued to operate. After leaving the Queensland Cup, they participated in the Brisbane A-Grade competition from 2005 until their senior sides disbanding in 2012. In 2013, the club entered a voluntary hiatus, but was announced to be part of the revived Brisbane Rugby League.

Purtell Park is a rugby league ground in Bardon, a suburb in Brisbane's west, in Queensland, Australia. It is the now the home of Wests Juniors Rugby League Football Club, Normandy (Hounds) Rugby League Football Club, Voices of Birralee, Western Districts Gymnastics, and a venue for Premier Touch Football. A community arts centre which provides meeting rooms for community organisations has been set up in what used to be the football clubhouse.

Ron Massey Cup Australian semi-professional rugby league competition

The Ron Massey Cup is a semi-professional development level rugby league competition in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, run jointly by the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and the Country Rugby League of New South Wales (CRL). The competition is run concurrently with the National Rugby League (NRL). It currently comprises 13 teams drawn from the Sydney metropolitan area. The competition is named after Ron Massey, a former rugby league coach. Ron Massey died 19 September 2016.

Newsome Panthers

Newsome Panthers ARLFC is an amateur rugby league club based in Newsome, Huddersfield. The club was founded with only two junior teams in 1995 and has since grown into one of the largest clubs in Yorkshire with teams for children of all ages. More recently the club founded an open-age team into which the junior players could progress. The club has eleven junior teams playing the West Riding League and Yorkshire Combination League. The open age team currently play in division 1 of the Pennine League.

The 1886–87 season was the first season in which Newton Heath LYR F.C. – now known as Manchester United F.C. – took part in a major football competition. The club had previously entered the Lancashire Cup and the Manchester and District Challenge Cup, but this season was the first in which they competed in the FA Cup. However, their cup run was short-lived as they drew with Fleetwood Rangers in the first round, but were disqualified when they refused to play extra time.

The Cairns District Rugby League was formed on 5 August 1918 and is the administrative body for the game of rugby league football in Cairns, Queensland. The CDRL runs senior, junior and women's club competitions and has its headquarters at Barlow Park.
