Ranjith Balakrishnan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. Ven Shankhu Pol is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language family drama film directed by Asok R. Nath, starring Suresh Gopi, Manoj K Jayan, Jyothirmayi and Meera Nandan in the lead roles. This film also turned out to be the last Malayalam film of late Malayalam actor Murali. The film was initially titled Ekadasi and produced by Sandeep R Nair before it was sold on outright basis to producer Sanal Thottam.
Ore Mukham is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language mystery film directed by Sajith Jagadnandan and written by Deepu and Sandeep Sadanandan. It stars Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role. The film told in a non-linear style, is set in two periods. The period set in the 1980s tells the college life of the main protagonists. The other, set in the present day, describes the investigation into a series of murders involving them. Ore Mukham was released on 2 December 2016.
Sathish Kalathil is an Indian film and documentary director and producer in Malayalam. His experimental works are well known and appropriately discussed in Malayalam Cinema industry and his debut movie Jalachhayam (2010) was well discussed according to its experimental approach. His first film was Veenavaadanam (2008), an experimental documentary about art (painting). In 2012, he directed Laloorinu Parayanullathu, a socially committed documentary film about municipal solid waste and Jnana Saradhi in 2012, a historical documentary film about the first communal school of Kerala, Namboodiri Vidyalayam. He is also a story writer, poet and lyricist in Malayalam.

Salute is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film, directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by Bobby-Sanjay starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role as a cop. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his banner Wayfarer Films, the film has Aslam K. Purayil as the cinematographer while A. Sreekar Prasad handles the editing and Santhosh Narayanan was signed on to compose the original background score before being replaced by Jakes Bejoy.
Vazhiye is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language found footage horror film written and directed by Nirmal Baby Varghese after Thariode. This movie is an experimental movie made in found footage style and it is the first found footage movie in Malayalam. Produced by Baby Chaithanya under the banner of Casablanca Film Factory. The film marked the debut of Hollywood music director Evan Evans in Indian cinema.
Orilathanalil is a 2021 Malayalam-language social drama film from India. It was produced by Sandeep. R under the banner Sahasrara Cinemas and directed by Asok. R. Nath who previously directed movies like Saphalam, December, Mizhikal Sakshi, Ven Shankhu Pol etc. Orilathanalil was one of the official entries at the Durban International Film Festival and Sacramento International Film Festival. The plot of the movie revolves around the survival of Achuthan, a physically disabled farmer played by Sreedharan Kaani, who has lost his hands in real life also and later became famous for winning the special award from the Kerala State Department of Agriculture as a role model and representative of the farmer community who has overcome their physical disabilities. The film is a journey through Sreedharan's real life too. It received great critical acclaim for the screenplay, direction, & the social issue discussed in the film among the critics subsequently winning Kerala Film Critics Award 2020 for Best Environmental Film.
Sundari is an Indian Malayalam-language soap opera which has two seasons. It airs on Surya TV and digitally through Sun NXT. The show portrays the life of a village belle who faces discrimination and abuse based on skin colour and aspires to assert that character is important than skin colour. The first season aired from 15 November 2021 to 11 February 2024. The second season aired from 12 February 2024 to 21 July 2024. It began as a remake of the Kannada language series Sundari
Iratta (transl. Twin) is a 2023 Malayalam-language crime thriller film written and directed by Rohit M. G. Krishnan featuring Joju George in dual roles, Anjali, Arya Salim and Srikant Murali. The film revolves around the death of a policeman during his duty hours in Vagamon police station and the investigation that follows by his estranged twin brother.
Varaal is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language political drama film written by Anoop Menon and directed by Kannan Thamarakulam and featuring Anoop Menon, Prakash Raj and Sunny Wayne in lead roles. It is produced by PA Sebastian under the banner of Time Ads Entertainment.
Olavum Theeravum is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language period drama featurette written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Priyadarshan. It is based on Nair's 1957 short story of the same name and serves as a remake of the 1970 film adaptation. The featurette is part of the anthology web series Manorathangal (transl. Mindscapes), which consists of nine featurettes adapted from Nair's short stories. Mohanlal appears as the main lead as Bapputty. It also features Mamukkoya, Hareesh Peradi, Surabhi Lakshmi and Durga Krishna.
