Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Muzaffarpur (Cancer Hospital Muzaffarpur) is a tertiary cancer care, education, and research institution located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India. It is a constituent unit of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) and operates under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The hospital was established to address the growing cancer burden in Bihar and neighbouring regions and is recognised as Bihar’s first comprehensive cancer super-speciality hospital. [1]
HBCH&RC Muzaffarpur was established in 2018 as part of Tata Memorial Centre’s national expansion programme to decentralise cancer care services in underserved regions. It serves patients from Bihar and adjoining states, where access to specialised oncology services had been limited. [2]
