The regions of Somaliland is divided into six administrative regions, Awdal, Sahil, Maroodi-Jeeh, Togdheer, Sanaag and Sool. These are in turn subdivided into twenty-two districts. Regions of Somaliland are the primary geographical divisions through which Somaliland is administered. A distinction is made between districts of grades A, B, C and D, with the classification being based on population, area, economy and production.
The Somaliland National Armed Forces are the military services of Somaliland. They are composed of two active military branches: the army and the coast guard. There is no air force.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Somaliland worked in cooperation with other national executive bodies, executive bodies of the subjects of the Republic of Somaliland, local authorities, public associations and other institutions. The current minister is Ahmed Mohamed Diriye.
The Sompower is a private electric utility company based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. It specialises generating, transmitting and distributing of the electric power. Founded in 2016 by the merger of 39 local utility firms. It is one of the largest utility companies in Somaliland.

Qoriley is a town in the Sool region of Somaliland.
War Idaad, also known as Wandad, Waridad, or Waridud is a town in Aynabo District, in the Sool region of Somaliland. In 2008, the surrounding villages were combined and promoted to "War Idaad District", and several more surrounding districts were combined to form the new "Saraar Region". In 2020, these became Aynabo District of the Sool Region.
Tuulo Samakaab or Tuula Samakaab is a village in the center Sool Region of Somaliland. It is located in the middle of the road connecting Aynaba and Las Anod, two of Somaliland's large cities. It is the starting point of the road connecting this road with the Buhoodle District.
