Hot Flash Heat Wave is an American indie rock band originally from Davis, California, now based in the Excelsior District of San Francisco, California. [1] [2] Their sound has been described as "surfer pop meets post punk" [3] and "dream pop". [4]

History

The members of Hot Flash Heat Wave all grew up in Davis, California, and first met in high school. [5] The members came up with the name Hot Flash Heat Wave due to a period of hot weather in San Francisco. [6] In 2015, Hot Flash Heat Wave released their first full-length album, Neapolitan. [7] [8] [9] [10] In June 2016, the band released their first song since their debut full-length album, titled "Bye Bye Baby". [11] In March 2017, Hot Flash Heat Wave announced their second full-length album, released by OIM Records. The album, titled Soaked, was released on June 2, 2017. The album was produced by Jeff Saltzman. [12] [13] [14] [15] [16]

In November 2018, Hot Flash Heat Wave released a song titled "Dreaming of U", featuring Sophie Meiers. [17] In early 2019, they released another new song, titled "Sky So Blue". [18] In September 2020, the band released their song titled "Grudge". [19] Throughout 2021, the group released three singles, "m o t i o n s", "Vampires", and "Where I'm @". The group released a single called "Bay Boys" on the 11 February 2022 followed by the album Sportswear on 11 March. [20] [21]

He has since expanded his career to incorporate his interest and training in the visual arts.

Martha Elaine Wash is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer. Known for her distinctive and powerful voice, Wash first achieved fame as half of the Two Tons O' Fun, who sang backing vocals for the disco singer Sylvester including on his signature hit "You Make Me Feel ". After gaining their own record deal, they released three consecutive commercially successful songs which all peaked at number two in the dance charts. The duo was renamed The Weather Girls in 1982 after they released the top-selling single "It's Raining Men", which brought them to mainstream pop attention. The Weather Girls released five albums and were heavily featured on Sylvester's albums.

Majid Jordan is a Canadian R&B duo, consisting of singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman from Toronto, Ontario. They formed in 2011 and signed to OVO Sound, the record label co-founded by rapper Drake, producer Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib, releasing their debut EP, A Place Like This, in 2014.

"Wild Roses" is a song by Icelandic indie folk group Of Monsters and Men. It was released on 12 July 2019 by Republic Records as the second single for their third studio album Fever Dream (2019). Written by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson and produced by Of Monsters and Men and Rich Costey, it is a folk power ballad about recovering from pain that progressively builds into a huge-sounding outro. It was a top-20 hit in Iceland but performed far weaker in North America, only spending two weeks on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart and peaking at 38.
