Hot Tub Cinema is a cinematic experience created in 2012. [1]
Created by Asher Charman, [1] the events combine popular films with hot tubs, often in unusual spaces such as rooftops, old factories or abandoned train stations (such as the former Shoreditch Underground Station in Shoreditch, London). [2] In addition to watching a film, cinema-goers have the opportunity to celebrate after the film with a VJ-led party.
In addition to shows in London, Hot Tub Cinema events have been held in New York City, [3] Ibiza, [4] and in several cities around the UK. [5]
In addition to regular shows, Hot Tub Cinema has also been involved in several film & TV launches, such as a one-off launch screening Spring Breakers which included an appearance from the writer/director Harmony Korine. Held in an abandoned fire station in South London, in addition to the film and afterparty guests could experience recreations of iconic scenes throughout the venue. [6]
They also created an event for a DVD launch of The Walking Dead , which included (real) roast squirrel and a tub full of blood and limbs. [7]

Harmony Korine is an American director, contemporary artist, producer, actor, screenwriter, author, photographer and skateboarder. He is best known for his films which feature his erratic, loose and transgressive aesthetic, exploring taboo themes and incorporating experimental techniques, as well as his various endeavors into art, music, fashion and advertising.
Gummo is a 1997 American experimental drama film written and directed by Harmony Korine, starring Jacob Reynolds, Nick Sutton, Jacob Sewell, and Chloë Sevigny. The film is set in Xenia, Ohio, a Midwestern American town that had been previously struck by a devastating tornado. The loose narrative follows several main characters who find odd and destructive ways to pass time, interrupted by vignettes depicting other inhabitants of the town.
Cliff Martinez is an American musician and composer. Early in his career, Martinez was known as a drummer notably with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Captain Beefheart. Dogme 95 was a filmmaking movement started in 1995 by the Danish directors Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg, who created the "Dogme 95 Manifesto" and the "Vows of Chastity". These were rules to create films based on the traditional values of story, acting, and theme, and excluding the use of elaborate special effects or technology. It was supposedly created as an attempt to "take back power for the directors as artists", as opposed to the studio. They were later joined by fellow Danish directors Kristian Levring and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, forming the Dogme 95 Collective or the Dogme Brethren. Dogme is the Danish word for dogma.

Gomez, Hudgens, Benson, and Korine portray four college-aged girls on their spring break in Florida where they meet an eccentric local drug dealer (Franco) who helps them in a time of desperation, and their eventual descent into a world of drugs, crime, and violence.
Division Films is a Los Angeles-based film finance and production company established by Wicks Walker in 2012. The company's first film was Spring Breakers starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson. Walker and another producer greenlit the production after Benoît Debie was recruited as cinematographer to work alongside director Harmony Korine and with Selena Gomez added to the cast. Spring Breakers was selected for competition in the 69th Venice Film Festival and released worldwide in 2013.
