As the tenth-largest country in the world,and the largest in Africa and in the Mediterranean region,Algeria has a vast transportation system that includes a large and diverse transportation infrastructure.

The Gandoura,also Gandura,is a kind of light tunic,in wool or cotton,with or without sleeves. It normally comes in colored stripes,or more simply white,and is worn primarily in North Africa and Western Asia. The term gandoura is Arabic in origin. In Algeria,there are two varieties of gandoura. The first is worn by women and is also known as Jebba Fergani. It is a traditional Algerian garment made of thick velvet that originated in the Constantine region. The other form of gandoura is one worn by Algerian men;it is a casual clothing similar to the Jellaba but it lacks a hood.

The Oran Division was an infantry division of the French Army,part of the 19th Army Corps based in French Algeria. It comprised troops from the Army of Africa garrisoned in the Oran region. It was disbanded in 1964.
Abdelkader Ouali is an Algerian politician who served as the wali of several Algerian provinces and as Minister of Water Resources and the Environment between 2016 and 2017 and Minister of Public Works between 2015 and 2016. He was sentenced to three years in prison in 2022 for building roads for businessman Ali Haddad.
