Howard Jerome "Howy" Parkins (born November 1, 1965) is an American animator and director. [1] He is known for directing the animated television series The Lion Guard, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and Lloyd in Space. [2] [3]

Career

Parkins started his career as a layout artist in some of his works, including The Care Bears Movie, Punky Brewster, and Star Wars: Ewoks. [4] [5]

In 1996, Parkins directed the television series Hey Arnold! for Nickelodeon Animation Studio. In 2006, he worked as a director for Disney's The Emperor's New School and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. [6] [7] [8]

Jake and the Never Land Pirates, titled Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates for the fourth season and associated merchandise, is an American animated interactive preschool children's television series for Disney Junior. Based on Walt Disney's Peter Pan franchise, which was itself based on the 1904 play and 1911 book by J. M. Barrie, it was the first Disney Junior original show following the switch from Playhouse Disney. It stars Sean Ryan Fox, Megan Richie, Jadon Sand, David Arquette, Corey Burton, Jeff Bennett, Loren Hoskins, and Dee Bradley Baker. <i>The Lion Guard</i> 2016 TV series by Ford Riley

The Lion Guard is an American animated television series developed by Ford Riley and based on Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King. The series was first broadcast with a television film titled The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar on Disney Channel on November 22, 2015, and began airing as a TV series on January 15, 2016, on Disney Junior. It is the second television series to be based on The Lion King, the first being The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa (1995–1999). The Lion Guard is a sequel and spin-off to The Lion King, and takes place during the time-gap within Disney's 1998 direct-to-video sequel The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, while the third and final season takes place in parallel with the film's second act, with the final two episodes serving as an epilogue.

James Volker Langknecht, better known as Jim Lang, is an American composer. He is known for scoring the Nickelodeon series Hey Arnold! (1996–2004), its feature film, Hey Arnold!: The Movie (2002), and the television film, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie (2017), as well as working with series creator Craig Bartlett on his other shows such as Dinosaur Train and Ready Jet Go!.

Mercury Filmworks is a Canadian independent animation studio based in Ottawa, Ontario. The studio was originally founded in Vancouver by Clint Eland, the current CEO, in 1997. Mercury Filmworks has produced animated television series and feature films for a variety of companies, including Disney, Netflix, Amazon Studios, and Warner Bros. Its recent projects include Kid Cosmic, Centaurworld, Hilda, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, and The Ghost and Molly McGee.
