Hubert James Hungerford Henchman KC (29 August 1876-18 February 1963) was an Australian barrister and public servant who served as the Solicitor-General of Queensland from 5 August 1937 to 31 December 1945. [1] [2] [3] Henchman also served as the Crown Solicitor of Queensland from 2 March 1923 to 4 August 1937. [4] [5] Henchman was born in London to William and Jane Henchman,coming to Australia in 1878 where he resided in Melbourne. [6] He later resided in Rockhampton in 1883,where his father would become a Judge of the District Court. Henchman married wife Nelsey Ridgeway in 1915. He died in Brisbane in 1963.

Sir Harry Talbot Gibbs,was Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia from 1981 to 1987 after serving as a member of the High Court between 1970 and 1981. He was known as one of Australia's leading federalist judges although he presided over the High Court when decisions such as Koowarta v Bjelke-Petersen in 1982 and Commonwealth v Tasmania expanded the powers of the Commonwealth at the expense of the states. Gibbs dissented from the majority verdict in both cases. On 3 August 2012,the Supreme Court of Queensland Library opened the Sir Harry Gibbs Legal Heritage Centre. It is the only legal heritage museum of its kind in Queensland and features a permanent exhibition dedicated to the life and legacy of Sir Harry Gibbs.
Catherine Ena"Cate" Holmes is a retired Australian jurist who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland,the highest ranking court in the Australian state of Queensland. She was appointed to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2000,to the Queensland Court of Appeal in 2006 and appointed chief justice on 11 September 2015. She retired on 19 March 2022.
