Hubert Salmhofer (born 24 July 1964) is an Austrian clarinetist and basset horn player.
Salmhofer graduated from the Graz Music Academy in 1990. [1] He teaches at the academy and at its specialist music school in Oberschützen, as well as at the Conservatory of Music in Klagenfurt. [1] He has played with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. [1] He was a founding member of Trio Clarin, and has played in Quintessenz, Trio Gemärch, Austrian Art Ensembles, and Ensemble Zeitfluss. [1] He is also a member of the Vienna Clarinet Connection.

Salmhofer served successively as Kapellmeister of the Burgtheater, Director of the Vienna State Opera and Director of the Vienna Volksoper and composed a number of works, few of which are played today.
The Sacramento Youth Symphony (SYS) was founded in 1956 as a 55-member youth orchestra, associated with the Sacramento Symphony Association. The Sacramento Symphony has since ceased operations and the Sacramento Youth Symphony became incorporated as an independent, 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in 1991.
