History

Hudson Jeans was founded in 2002 by Peter Kim with its base in Los Angeles, California. [2] [5] [6] [7] [8] Till date, Ben Taverniti has been the Creative Director/Designer of the brand. [9] [10]

In 2009, Fireman Capital Partners took a majority stake in Hudson Jeans. [11] Reebok founder; Paul Fireman and his son, Dan; were at the head of the investment fund during the period. [11]

In 2013, Joe’s Jeans brand signed an agreement to acquire Hudson Jeans for the sum of 97.6 million dollars. Hudson Jeans' CEO; Peter Kim remained as head of the company and also became a member of the board of directors at Joe’s Jeans. [11] [12] [13]

Products and services

Hudson Jeans offers denim line of designer jeans with trademark triangular back pockets, and a Union Jack logo. Customers known to wear Hudson Jeans include Cara Delevingne and Britney Spears. [2] [7] [14] [15] Hudson Jeans also worked with Georgia May Jagger as one of the brand's model. [16] [17] [18]

Tommy Hilfiger B.V., formerly known as Tommy Hilfiger Corporation and Tommy Hilfiger Inc., is an American clothing brand, manufacturing apparel, footwear, accessories, fragrances and home furnishings. The company was founded in 1985, and the brand's merchandise is sold in department stores and over 2000 free-standing retail stores in 100 countries. In 2006, private equity firm Apax Partners acquired the company for approximately $1.6 billion. In March 2010, PVH Corp. bought the company. DL1961 is a global premium denim brand that is carried in hundreds of stores. The brand was founded in 2008 using XFIT LYCRA, a fabric it has patented. XFIT is a cotton-wrapped Lycra thread intertwined with polyester made by DL parent company ADM Denim, which was founded by Faisal and Meliha Ahmed. The company uses an eco-friendly manufacturing process that it introduced in 2013 to use less water, waste, and dye. The brand has a maternity line.

DSTLD is an American clothing company, founded in 2014 by Corey Epstein, Ryan Jaleh and Mark Lynn and backed by Asher New York Holdings. The California-based company designs and retails a line of mostly denim-based clothing. The company has become known for its relatively affordable pricing, environmentally friendly design and manufacturing, a direct-to-consumer retail strategy.

KSENIASCHNAIDER is a Kyiv-based brand which led by Ksenia and Anton Schnaider. The brand was established in 2011, but gained a worldwide recognition in 2016 with the invention of demi-denims. The model was created as a combination of the culottes and the skinny jeans.

Emma Grede is a British businesswoman, entrepreneur and fashion designer. She is the CEO and co-founder of the denim company Good American, a founding partner of Skims, and co-founder of Safely.
