Keiji Haino is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter whose work has included rock, free improvisation, noise music, percussion, psychedelic music, minimalism and drone music. He has been active since the 1970s and continues to record regularly and in new styles.

Ruins is a Japanese music duo composed only of drummer/vocalist Tatsuya Yoshida and a bass guitarist. The group, formed in 1985, was supposedly intended to be a power trio; the guitarist, however, never showed up to the band's first rehearsal so the group remained a duo. The music touches on progressive rock, jazz fusion and noise rock.
Kōenji Hyakkei, also known as Kōenjihyakkei, is a Japanese Zeuhl band led by Yoshida Tatsuya of Ruins fame. The band released their first (self-titled) album in 1994 with Aki Kubota from Bondage Fruit on vocals and keyboard. Though rhythmically not as complex as Ruins, Kōenji Hyakkei still evokes a feeling of unfamiliarity due to non-standard modes and chanting in a nonsensical language.

Symphonica is the 11th studio album by the Japanese Zeuhl band Ruins. For this album, Yoshida Tatsuya enlisted the help of a keyboard player and two female singers to remake several older Ruins songs. Yoshida is also joined by bassist Sasaki Hisashi.

Maximum Money Monster is a 1990 album by Zeni Geva. It is a re-release of their 1989 album Maximum Love and Fuck, with additional songs. The Pathological CD release had the whole album as one track. In 2007, it was reissued by Cold Spring with three bonus previously unreleased recordings from a 1990 show at Antiknock in Tokyo, and all songs as separate tracks.

Acid Mothers Gong Live Tokyo is a live album by Acid Mothers Gong, a band featuring members of Gong and Acid Mothers Temple, recorded during April 2004 at the Doors Club in Tokyo, but not released until 2006 by Voiceprint, catalogue number VP382CD. No producer was credited, but mixing was carried out by guitarist Kawabata Makoto and drummer Yoshida Tatsuya and editing was by Daevid Allen.

Minstrel in the Galaxy is an album by Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., released in 2004 by Riot Season. This was the first Acid Mothers Temple album not to feature Cotton Casino on vocals, instead featuring Afrirampo members, Oni & Pikacyu. The album title is a play on the name of the Jethro Tull album Minstrel in the Gallery.

Acid Mothers Temple covered Master Builder again in 2012 on IAO Chant From The Melting Paraiso Underground Freak Out.
