Hungry Lucy was a dark wave and trip hop duo with a female vocalist. Beginning in 1998, they released four full-length CDs on Alfa Matrix in Europe (including EU only 2-CD boxset versions) and on Hungry Media for the US. Led by Christa Belle (lyrics, vocals, music) and Warren Harrison (music, programming and production), the two came together when Harrison was asked to contribute to a Depeche Mode tribute album in 1998.
Hungry Lucy is included in numerous compilation releases, including Elektrauma 5 from Triton Records in 1999,[1]The Ultimate Electro-Industrial Compilation from Alfa Matrix in 2002, and Noir - Smooth Female Trip Hop from Dancing Ferret Discs in 2003. In 2005, To Kill a King debuted at #9 on the French Alternative Charts, and the radio show Echoes from Public Radio International, hosted by John Diliberto, featured Hungry Lucy with that debut.[2] The limited release EP, "Reigndance" reached #1 on the Dutch Underground Singles chart.[3]
The name "Hungry Lucy" refers to a young woman named Lucy Ryan who died in 1792. According to the ghost story of Havoc House, Psychic Sybil Leek is claimed to have channeled Ryan, and reported that Ryan was constantly complaining about being hungry.[4][5]

Robert Don Hunter Dougan is an Australian composer, known for his genre-blending music. Mixing elements of orchestral music, trip hop, and bluesy vocals, his work is tangentially relatable to electronic music. He is known primarily for his breakthrough 1995 single "Clubbed to Death ", further popularised by 1999's The Matrix soundtrack. "Clubbed to Death" was re-released on his debut album Furious Angels in 2002, seven years after its initial release, as well as providing several variations of the song, most notably the Kurayamino variation; he has also provided a variation of the Moby song "Porcelain". In 1995, he teamed up with Rollo Armstrong to remix the U2 song "Numb"; the remix was titled "Numb ".
Leæther Strip is a Danish musical project founded on 13 January 1988 by Claus Larsen. Its influence has been most felt in the electronic body music and electro-industrial genres. Leæther Strip was one of the earliest and most prominent acts on Germany's now defunct Zoth Ommog record label. For distribution outside of Europe, the music has been licensed to the U.S. labels Cleopatra Records and Metropolis Records. After the demise of Zoth Ommog in 1999, Larsen signed to Bloodline Records, which only released a single before also going out of business. In 2005, Leæther Strip signed with the Belgian-based label Alfa Matrix. On 3 June 2011 Larsen announced his split from Alfa Matrix in order to self-release future material.
ThouShaltNot were an American electronic band formed in 1998. Their core lineup consisted of Alex Reed, Aaron Fuleki, and Jeremy Long. The band's musical style blended elements of post-punk, gothic rock, industrial, and synthpop. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, they were signed to Dancing Ferret Discs. The group released four studio albums before disbanding in 2013, with Reed and Fuleki continuing to record music under the name Seeming.
Virtual Embrace is an aggrotech band from Berlin, Germany formed by Mike Johnson and DJ CyberChrist. Their first release was Roots of Evil EP in 2004 and became successful. Influenced by the likes of Hocico, and Suicide Commando, but Mike Johnson denied it, Virtual Embrace is the flagship band for the Hellektro label MAO-Music and, as of 2005, is similar in style to bands on the label NoiTekk, such as Grendel, Psyclon Nine, Aslan Faction, and Tactical Sekt.

The name of the band is an old German idiom which can be translated as "dark work" or "dark factory". The producer behind Dunkelwerk has decided to work under the pseudonym "losttrooper", being restrained to offer pictures of himself.
