I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! returned to ITV for its seventh series on 12 November, and ran until 30 November 2007.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is a British survival reality television game show, created by London Weekend Television (LWT), produced by ITV Studios, and aired live on ITV from Australia. The format sees a group of celebrities living together within an Australian jungle camp, coping with a few creature comforts. Each member not only undertakes in challenges to secure additional food and treats for the group, but also to avoid being voted out by viewers during their stay, with the final episode's votes nominating who wins a series and become crowned as "Jungle King/Queen".

ITV is a British free-to-air television network with its headquarters in London, it was launched in 1955 as Independent Television under the auspices of the Independent Television Authority to provide competition to BBC Television, that was established in 1932. ITV is also the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the passing of the Broadcasting Act 1990, its legal name has been Channel 3, to distinguish it from the other analogue channels at the time, namely BBC 1, BBC 2 and Channel 4. In part, the number 3 was assigned because television sets would usually be tuned so that the regional ITV station would be on the third button, with the other stations being allocated to the number within their name.

Series 6 winner Matt Willis and his fiancée, Emma Griffiths, presented spin-off show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! in Australia, while Mark Durden-Smith returned to front the United Kingdom segment of the show.^[1] The I'm a Celebrity...Exclusive teatime programme is not shown as part of the new series.

Mathew James Willis, also previously known as Mattie Jay, is an English singer-songwriter, television presenter and actor, best known as the bassist and one of the vocalists of the pop punk band, Busted. Willis released his debut solo album Don't Let It Go to Waste on 20 November 2006, which included three top 20 singles.

Mark Durden-Smith is an English television presenter best known for presenting ITV shows such as I'm a Celebrity: Get Me out of Here! NOW! and This Morning Summer, Sky 1 shows such as The Match and Double or Nothing, and Channel 5's rugby union coverage.

The official line-up was confirmed by ITV on 10 November 2007.^[2] The series was won by actor Christopher Biggins.

Christopher Kenneth Biggins is an English actor and television presenter. He is best known for his role as Lukewarm in the BBC sitcom Porridge.

Celebrities

The official celebrity line-up was revealed on 10 November 2007. However, Malcolm McLaren immediately resigned from the show before entering the camp on the first day, stating he didn't have the time and intention to do the programme. On Day 2, former The Apprentice contestant, Katie Hopkins was announced as his replacement and competed in the jungle throughout the series.

He is best known as a promoter and manager of bands such as the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols.

<i>The Apprentice</i> (UK TV series) British reality television series

The Apprentice is a British business-styled reality game show, created by Mark Burnett, distributed by Fremantle and broadcast by the BBC. Based upon the American original of the same name and billed as the "job interview from hell", the programme focuses on a group of aspiring businesspeople competing against each other in a series of business related challenges, in order to win a prize offered by British business magnate Alan Sugar. Produced by a number of companies over the course of the show's history, including Talkback Thames and United Artists Media Group, each series consists of around twelve episodes, and were initially aired either around early/late Spring, before later series began their broadcasts around Autumn. The show initially was aired on BBC Two, before the programme's success led the BBC to move the show to BBC One from the start of the third series in 2007.

Katie Olivia Hopkins is an English media personality, columnist, and businesswoman. She was a contestant in the third series of The Apprentice in 2007 and, following further appearances in the media, she became a columnist for British national newspapers. She began writing for The Sun in 2013 and the Daily Mail's website MailOnline from 2015 to 2017. She has also hosted her own television chat show If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World, and been a presenter for the talk radio station LBC.

Bushtucker Trials

The contestants take part in daily trials to earn food. For the first three trials the two camps went head to head, only the winner of the trial's camp had any food. Tuesday, 20 November was the last time the public chose who took part in the trials from now on the contestants will have to decide for themselves who takes part in them because the public will vote for who leaves instead.

Bush Battles

This year, the celebrities were all given a chance to win immunity from the first eviction. To do this they had to compete in a Bush Battle. The first battle consisted of 4 celebrities having to sit in a jeep. Whoever stayed in the jeep for the longest would win. After winning, John is known for saying "I am the victor." The second battle saw them each having a large egg timer. Whoever didn't let their egg timer run out would be the winner. The third battle was to stand tied to a tree holding a chain which would flush out frog spawn upon their head (they were chained to the tree). Whoever flushed out the substance last won.

An egg timer or kitchen timer is a device the primary function of which is to assist in timing during cooking; the name comes from the first timers initially being used for the timing of cooking eggs. Early designs simply counted down for a specific period of time. Some modern designs can time more accurately by depending on water temperature rather than an absolute time.

The Camps

Croc Creek

Croc Creek consisted of Anna Ryder Richardson, Cerys Matthews, John Burton Race, Marc Bannerman and Rodney Marsh.

When the 2 camps merged Croc Creek became base camp.

Snake Rock

Snake Rock was initially supposed to consist of Gemma Atkinson, Jason "J" Brown, Janice Dickinson, Lynne Franks and Malcolm McLaren, but McLaren quit the show and never made it into the camp. Katie Hopkins was put into Snake Rock on Day 2.

Snake Rock was abandoned once the two tribes became one, but it was used in the bush battles.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! returned to ITV1 and ITV2 for a ninth series on 15 November 2009. It broadcast for three weeks and concluded on 4 December 2009. There was however an additional Coming Out episode on 7 December 2009, showing all the celebrities and what they did after they left the jungle.

The second season of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me out of Here! premiered on June 1, 2009 and concluded on June 24, 2009. The season, aired on NBC, a revival of the ABC series of the same name and continued to follow the same format as the original British series. It is also broadcast in Ireland and the United Kingdom. In Ireland, the show airs on TV3, three days behind the original NBC airings, and in the UK, it airs on ITV2 with a seven-day delay. This show has been airing on STAR World in South East Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea from July 8, 2009.

The first series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! was broadcast on ITV from 25 August to 8 September 2002. Ant & Dec presented the main show on ITV, whilst Louise Loughman hosted the spin-off show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! on ITV2. The winner of this series was radio DJ Tony Blackburn.

The second series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here! was broadcast on ITV from 28 April to 12 May 2003.
