i-News is the flagship late night news program of the Philippine television network Net 25, anchored by Alma Angeles. It is an English version and a spin-off of i-Balita , The show aired from August 11, 2008 to October 21, 2011, replacing Net 25 Report and was replaced by Eagle News Evening Edition.

History

i-Balita and i-News are the same in format, but different in emphasis. i-Balita features local, business, weather and international news, while i-News features a daily round-up of the latest international, business, technology, sports, entertainment, environment, science, health and feature stories.

Programme anchors Ivy Canlas and Karen Santos were replaced by Alma Angeles on January 17, 2011.

The World Tonight is a Philippine television English-language late-night newscast broadcast by Kapamilya Channel and ANC. It was formerly the English language late-night newscast of ABS-CBN from November 21, 1966, to September 22, 1972, and was originally anchored by Angelo Castro Jr., Loren Legarda and Tina Monzon-Palma from September 15, 1986, to August 13, 1999. i-Balita was the flagship news broadcast of Net 25 (DZEC-TV) in the Philippines. The program aired from August 13, 2007 as a morning and afternoon editions, replacing DZEC 1062 Balita Update and from August 13, 2007 to October 21, 2011 as a primetime edition, replacing Newsbeat and was replaced by Mata ng Agila. The weeknight newscast concluded on April 1, 2022 and it was replaced by Mata ng Agila International in its timeslot. It was currently served as the weekend newscast with Angeles served as the main anchor.
