IMVBox is an online distribution platform established in September 2013 to support cinema of Iran. It was initially set up by an office in the UK but it has since opened offices in Tehran and the US. It offers legal English-subtitled Iranian movies. [1] [2] Its YouTube channel was launched in May 2014, providing content to Persian speakers, free of charge. The company aims to fight online piracy and copyright infringement. A campaign was rolled out on Facebook in July 2014 to promote IMVBox's work. [3]
IMVBox's profile was heightened over the summer of 2014, when it won appraisal from the Iranian film industry. In early May the Iranian Students News Agency carried a piece that described IMVBox's work in combating online piracy. [4] On 20 July Iranian filmmakers including Mojtaba Mirtahmasb and Rakhshan Bani-Etemad released a statement in which they called on viewers of Iranian films to avoid engaging in online piracy. [5] In the statement Mirtahmasb and Bani-Etemad encouraged their viewers and supporters to go to IMVBox, seeing it as a fair and legal option. [6] [7] Among the 200 signatories to the statement were filmmaker Jafar Panahi, actress Leila Hatami, and actor Ali Mosaffa. [8] [9]
Iranian rock refers to rock music produced by Iranian artists. Rock music has been popular in Iran since 1960s, with the emergence of singers such as Kourosh Yaghmaei, Farhad Mehrad, Fereydoon Foroughi and Habib Mohebian, but was largely forgotten after the Iranian Revolution. Aparat was selected as the best film website in 2011.

He is known as an activist of the Persian-language Twitter community and as someone who makes demands of the authorities. He was born in Estahban, Fars province, and lives in Tehran. He is known as a Principlist political figure and media activist, and he is a member of the Central Council of the Muslim Bloggers Association.
Maral Baniadam is an Iranian actress. She won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival for her performance as Parvin E'tesami in the 2024 biographical film Parvin.

20:30 is an evening prominent news program in Iranian IRIB TV2 that airs every night at 8:30 pm. The show is mostly notable because it has featured forced confessions they have conducted. The news main reporters over the years include Yazerlu, Zahra Rokoei, Mousavi, Amene Sadat Zabihi, Mohamed Delavari, Ali Rezvani, Yusuf Salami and Kamran Najafzade, some of whom are sanctioned by United States for Iranian regime breaching human rights. The program has been criticized by IRIB CEO for manipulating news.
Shaya Goldoust is an Iranian-born Canadian journalist, human rights activist, radio host, and radio producer. She is one of the presenters of Iran Wire, and Radio Ranginkaman. She lives in Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
