Iacov Timciuc (born 9 February 1954) is a Moldovan politician.
Iacob Timciuc served as minister of energy (2001–2005),before moving to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and serving as Moldovan Ambassador to China (2006) [1] and then ambassador to Korea (2007). He was appointed as Moldovan minister of local public administration in a Cabinet reshuffle on 10 June 2009.
He was a member of the PCRM,the new Communist Party. Iacob Timciuc declared on 17 March 2010 after the plenary session that he quits the Communists' Party,as "it has adopted an anti-national attitude,ignoring the party's general opinion. [2]
Vladimir Voronin is a Moldovan politician. He was the third President of Moldova from 2001 until 2009 and has been the leader of the Party of Communists of Moldova (PCRM) since 1994. He was Europe's first democratically elected communist party head of state after the dissolution of the Eastern Bloc.

Zinaida Greceanîi is a Moldovan politician. She was the President of the Moldovan Parliament between 8 June 2019 to 26 July 2021. Greceanîi was previously also the Prime Minister of Moldova from 31 March 2008 to 14 September 2009. She led the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) from 2016 to 2020 and was previously a member of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM). She was Moldova's first female Prime Minister and was the second female Communist head of government in Europe,preceded only by Premier Milka Planinc of former Yugoslavia. She has been referred to by her colleagues in PSRM as the "Moldovan Margaret Thatcher".

Protests against the April 2009 Moldovan parliamentary election results began on 6 April 2009 in major cities of Moldova before the final official results were announced. The demonstrators claimed that the election,which saw the governing Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) win a majority of seats,were fraudulent,and alternatively demanded a recount,a new election,or resignation of the government. Similar demonstrations took place in other major Moldovan cities,including the country's second largest,Bălți,where over 1,000 people protested.

The Alliance for European Integration was a centre-right,anti-communist coalition that governed Moldova from the July 2009 election until it lost to a no confidence vote in the Parliament on February 13,2013. It was succeeded by the anti-communist Pro-European Coalition.
Official relations between Moldova and NATO began in 1992 when Moldova joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council. However,as Moldova's neutrality is enshrined in its constitution,there are no official plans for Moldova to join the organization.

Denmark is a member of the European Union,which Moldova applied for in 2022. Both countries are full members of Council of Europe.
Valeriu Boboc was a protester who died in police custody amid the post-election protests in Chișinău,Moldova. The initial official cause was smoke poisoning from the riot,but his family insisted that he was beaten to death by the police,his body being full of contusions. According to 2009 Human Rights Report of the United States Department of State,a British forensics expert examined Boboc's body after it was exhumed on June 15,2009,and concluded that Boboc was killed by severe blows to his head. Only after a new ruling coalition came to power,an investigation was opened into the case and a policeman was arrested on charges of Boboc's murder.
