Ian Howard (born 17 October 1939) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). [1]
The Carlton Football Club, nicknamed the Blues, is a professional Australian rules football club based in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Carlton North, Victoria. Founded in 1864, the club competes in the Australian Football League, and was one of the competition's eight inaugural member clubs in 1896.
Tasmania Football Club, commonly known as the Tasmanian Devils, was an Australian rules football club which competed in the Victorian Football League in Australia. Formed in 2001, it was the youngest and the only non-Victorian club in the league. The club was based in the state of Tasmania at Bellerive Oval and was run by AFL Tasmania. At the end of the 2008 season, AFL Tasmania decided to withdraw the Devils from the VFL competition in favour of restarting a new Tasmanian league encompassing the entire state.
Ian James Nankervis is a former Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Nankervis played for Geelong for 17 seasons and was captain from 1978 to 1981, and again in 1983. Nankervis held the record of most senior level games for Geelong with 325 VFL games. Nankervis also represented Victoria at state level on 12 occasions.
Chris Bond is a former Australian rules footballer who played as a rover for the Carlton, Richmond and Fremantle Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Since retiring as a player he has coached Werribee in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and has also been an assistant coach for the Western Bulldogs. Matthew Knights is an Australian rules football coach and former player who is currently serving as an assistant coach with the Geelong Football Club. Knights played in the midfield for the Richmond Football Club from 1988 to 2002, before going on to forge a coaching career, most notably as head coach of the Essendon Football Club from 2008 to 2010 where he became the head coach of the Geelong VFL Football Club from 2012–14, guiding the Cats to the 2012 VFL Premiership and the 2013 VFL Grand Final.
