Baron Luke, of Pavenham in the County of Bedford, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1929 for the businessman George Lawson Johnston. He won the First Division title with Burnley in 1959–60, and won the Second Division title with Leeds United in 1963–64.
The Academy At Shotton Hall is a coeducational secondary school in Peterlee, County Durham, England. It is a school for 11- to 16-year-olds and is a specialist Performing Arts College it was renamed from Shotton Hall School in February 2011. The school has recently undergone major renovation work as part of the Government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) program. The work has seen the school completely rebuilt and the old school buildings were demolished. The current head teacher at the school is Lesley Powell. Previous head teacher, Ian Mowbray, retired In July 2010.
Ira Lawson Fiscus (1866-1949) was one of the first professional football players. He attended Princeton University, where his outstanding play at offensive guard earned him the title Samson of Princeton, before going on to play professionally with the Allegheny Athletic Association in 1891 and the Greensburg Athletic Association in 1893. His brothers Ross and Newell also played for Pittsburgh-area athletic clubs and were highly regarded as players.

The Jeannette Athletic Club, also referred to as the Jeannette Indians, was an early football team, based in Jeannette, Pennsylvania from 1894 until around 1906. The team is best known for its role in the Latrobe Athletic Association's hiring of John Brallier, who became the first player to openly turn professional. This event occurred in 1895, a few days before Latrobe's game against Jeannette. Latrobe starting quarterback, Eddie Blair, due to a scheduling conflict could not play in the game. This led Latrobe manager, Dave Berry to hire Brallier to play against Jeannette for $10, plus expenses. Latrobe would go on to win that game 12-0.
The 1966–67 season was Port Vale's 55th season of football in the English Football League, and their second successive season in the Fourth Division. Again hopeful of escape from the basement division, Vale could only manage a mid-table finish. Player-manager Jackie Mudie resigned at the end of the season. Veteran defender Roy Sproson became the club's first ever Player of the Year winner.
Ian Callinan is a former professional Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League, playing with the Adelaide Crows. He was the league's smallest player during his career, standing at only 172 cm. He played as both a midfielder and a small forward during his career.
Keith Smith is an English retired footballer, who played as a forward. He made 277 league appearances for West Bromwich Albion, Peterborough United, Crystal Palace, Darlington, Leyton Orient and Notts County, before moving into non-league football with Kidderminster Harriers. Married to Judy Wildman, his daughter was born in 1963. While he was playing for WBA, he and his wife owned and ran the chip shop in Chapman Street, West Bromwich. Following his retirement from playing football, he worked for Aston Villa as commercial director during the years of league and European success and later went on to work for West Midlands Police at Wednesbury Police Station.

Hagens Berman Axeon is a UCI Continental cycling team based in the United States. It was founded in 2009, originally as a feeder team for Team RadioShack. Burnley F.C. Academy are the youth teams of Burnley Football Club. The under-21s currently play in the second level of reserve football in England, the under-21 Professional Development League. The team mainly consists of players under the age of 21 at the club, but does occasionally include first team players. Burnley's under-18s currently play in the second level of academy football in England, the U18 Professional Development League.
