Ian Lloyd Anderson (born 4 June 1986) is an Irish actor best known for his role as Dean in Love/Hate . [1] In 2015, Anderson joined the cast of the HBO series Game of Thrones in season 5 as Derek.

Anderson is married with children and resides in Dublin. [2] [3] He has expressed a lack of desire in pursuing an acting career in Hollywood. [3]

Dublin Oldschool is a 2014 Irish play written by Irish actor Emmet Kirwan and a 2018 film starring Kirwan, Ian Lloyd Anderson, Seana Kerslake and Sarah Greene based on the play. The film was directed by Dave Tynan.

The 16th Irish Film & Television Academy Awards took place on 18 October 2020. Because no ceremony was held in 2019, this ceremony honoured films and television drama released in both 2018 and 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no physical ceremony took place; instead, there was a "virtual ceremony" hosted by Deirdre O’Kane.
