Ian Sharman, born 30 August 1980, is a British ultramarathon runner, coach, and blogger for iRunFar living in Bend, OR. He currently holds the record for the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and is the winner of the 2013, [1] 2015, 2016 and 2017 [2] Leadville Trail 100. He holds 9 Guinness Book of World's records for running marathons in costumes in the fastest time. [3]

The Leadville Trail 100 Run is an ultramarathon held annually on rugged trails and dirt roads near Leadville, Colorado, through the heart of the Rocky Mountains. First run in 1983, the race course climbs and descends 15,600 feet (4,800 m), with elevations ranging from 9,200-12,620 feet. In most years, fewer than half the starters complete the race within the 30-hour time limit.

The Subway Challenge is a challenge in which participants must navigate the entire New York City Subway system in the shortest time possible. This ride is also known as the Rapid Transit Challenge and the Ultimate Ride. Although the challenge requires competitors to stop at all 472 stations, no person holds that record.
