Ibrahim Khalaf (born 9 July 1986) is a Jordanian judoka.

He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the men's 90 kg. [1]

Al-Mufaddal ibn Muhammad ibn Ya'la ibn 'Amir ibn Salim ibn ar-Rammal ad-Dabbi, commonly known as al-Mufaḍḍal aḍ-Ḍabbī, died c. 780–787, was an Arabic philologist of the Kufan school. Al-Mufaddal was a contemporary of Hammad ar-Rawiya and Khalaf al-Ahmar, the famous collectors of ancient Arab poetry and tradition, and was somewhat the junior of Abu 'Amr ibn al-'Ala', the first scholar who systematically set himself to preserve the poetic literature of the Arabs. He died about fifty years before Abu ʿUbaidah and al-Asma'i, to whose labours posterity is largely indebted for the arrangement, elucidation and criticism of ancient Arabian verse; and his anthology was put together between fifty and sixty years before the compilation by Abu Tammam of the Hamasah.

Sayyid Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Kāẓim also known as Ibrāhīm al-Mujāb and al-Ḍarīr al-Kūfī, was the son of Muḥammad al-ʿĀbid, and grandson of Mūsā al-Kāẓim, the seventh Twelver Shia Imam. He was the first Alid to settle in Karbala, where he died, and was buried in the Imam Husayn shrine.

Jordan competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's tenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.

On January 2, 2016, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia carried out a mass execution of 47 imprisoned civilians convicted of terrorism in 12 provinces in the country. Forty-three were beheaded and four were executed by firing squads. Among the 47 people killed was Shia Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr. The execution was the largest carried out in the kingdom since 1980. Nimr al-Nimr was sentenced to death by the Specialized Criminal Court on 15 October 2014 for "seeking 'foreign meddling' in Saudi Arabia, 'disobeying' its rulers and taking up arms against the security forces". His execution was condemned by religious and political figures and human rights groups. The Saudi government said the body would not be handed over to the family. Al-Nimr was very critical of the Saudi Arabian government, and called for free elections in Saudi Arabia.

Sayf al-Dawla Khalaf ibn Mulāʿib al-Ashhabī al-Kilābī was the emir of Homs and Apamea between 1082 and 1090. He later seized Apamea again in 490 A.H./1096 from Ridwan and held the city, under the suzerainty of the Fatimid Caliphate, until his assassination by the Assassins.

Mohammed Khamis Khalaf is a Paralympic powerlifter from United Arab Emirates. He represented his country at the Summer Paralympics in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2021. In total, he won three medals: two gold medals and one silver medal. He is also the first Paralympic competitor to win a gold medal for the country at the Summer Paralympics.

The 18th Parliament of Jordan was elected at the 2016 Jordanian general election. 130 members were elected and had the right to sit in the National Assembly of Jordan.
