Iceblink is a white light seen near the horizon, especially on the underside of low clouds, [1] resulting from reflection of light off an ice field immediately beyond. The iceblink was used by both the Inuit and explorers looking for the Northwest Passage to help them navigate safely. [1]

A blink comparator is a viewing apparatus formerly used by astronomers to find differences between two photographs of the night sky. It permits rapid switching from viewing one photograph to viewing the other, "blinking" back and forth between the two images taken of the same area of the sky at different times. This allows the user to more easily spot objects in the night sky that have changed position or brightness. It was also sometimes known as a blink microscope. It was invented in 1904 by physicist Carl Pulfrich at Carl Zeiss AG, then constituted as Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
Travis Landon Barker is an American musician who serves as the drummer for the rock band Blink-182. Their lyrics primarily focus on relationships, adolescent frustration, and maturity—or lack thereof. The group emerged from a suburban, Southern California skate punk scene and first gained notoriety for high-energy live shows and irreverent humour.
Lullabies to Violaine is a Cocteau Twins box set released in limited quantities by 4AD Records in November 2005. Comprising four CDs, the box set collects the tracks from every Cocteau Twins EP and single from Lullabies to Violaine, except the 1990 "Heaven or Las Vegas" single and the four songs on the 1991 EPs and Singles & Box Set bonus disc. It was also released as two separate double CD packs titled Lullabies to Violaine: Volume 1 and Lullabies to Violaine: Volume 2 the following year.

The We Are Pirates Tour is a concert tour by American rock band Blink-182 in support of the group's seventh studio album, California (2016). It consisted of festival and amphitheater dates and ran between May 14 and July 10, 2016, in North America. Support acts included All Time Low, Hawthorne Heights, Simple Plan, and the Used on select dates. Aside from the few club shows and the Musink Festival in 2015, the We Are Pirates tour was their first with guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba and their first without founding member Tom DeLonge.
The One More Light World Tour was the ninth headlining and final concert tour by American rock band Linkin Park. The tour supported their seventh studio album, One More Light (2017). Beginning in May 2017, the tour visited 21 cities in South America and Europe. Following the death of lead vocalist and frontman Chester Bennington on July 20, 2017, the North American leg and the rest of the tour were cancelled the following day, followed by the final leg of the tour in Japan on October 3, 2017.
Te lapa is a Polynesian term for an unexplained light phenomenon underneath, or on the surface of, the ocean. Te lapa has been loosely translated as "flashing light", "underwater lightning", "the flashing", or "something that flashes". It was used by historic and modern Polynesians as a navigation aid to find islands in the Pacific Ocean. In some instances, it has been theorized to be bioluminescence or electromagnetic in nature. Other hypotheses include the interference patterns of intersecting waves creating a raised curve acting as a lens, but would not explain the source of light. David Lewis speculated that te lapa may originate from luminescence of organisms, or related to deep swell, ground swell, or backwash waves from reefs or islands.
