Igor Arbutina (born 27 July 1972) is Croatian volleyball coach.

Career

Between 1992 and 2002 Arbutina worked as a coach at OK Karlovac, HAOK Mladost and OK Varazdin. From 1997 to 2002 he was an assistant coach of Croatian national team, and in 2002 became the head coach. In 2003–2007 he worked with MSC Moers and Rote Raben Vilsbiburg in Germany, and then became the head coach of the national team of Qatar.

Career

HAOK Mladost Zagreb is a professional volleyball team based in Zagreb, Croatia which is part of the HAŠK Mladost sports society. It was established on 9 December 1946. The club was the most successful domestically during Yugoslavia and in Croatia.

The Croatia men's national volleyball team represents Croatia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. It is governed by the Croatian Volleyball Federation.

Qatar mens national volleyball team

The Qatar men's national volleyball team represents Qatar in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. As at 3 July 2017, the team was ranked 31st in the world. Qatar's best rank in Asian Championship 4th place, 2015 year.

Al Rayyan Volleyball is a professional Volleyball team based in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. It competes in the Qatari Volleyball League. They participated in the 2012 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship held in Qatar after winning the Heir Apparent Cup. The club hired four top athletes to strengthen the team before the 2012 Club World Championships. These include Rodrigão from Brazil, the Bulgarian brothers Georgi and Valentin Bratoev, and the American David Lee, a Gold medalist in Beijing 2008. They did not advance past the group stage. The best achievement for the Al Rayyan volleyball team was in 2014 when they came in the second place in the World Club championship. The squad included Michael Sánchez, Raphael Vieira de Oliveira, Matey Kaziyski and Robertlandy Simón as foreign players in the team. Al Rayan won the GCC Champions Cup in 2011 and 2015 as well as the Arab championship and Asian cup.
