Lieutenant General Ikram Ul Haq HI(M) is a retired three-star general in the Pakistan Army who served as Defence Secretary of Pakistan. He had also served as Commander XXX Corps. [1]
Ikram Ul Haq was commissioned into the Pakistan Army via 64th PMA Long Course,joining the 39 Azad Kashmir Regiment. [2]
In 2013,he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General. [3] Reportedly,Ikram had served as VCGS. [4]
As a lieutenant general,Ikram had succeeded Raheel Sharif as Inspector General Training and Evaluation. [5] Later,he was appointed as Corps Commander of the XXX Corps,located at Gujranwala. [6]
After retirement,Ikram was appointed as Defence Secretary,a key post in the Ministry of Defence succeeding Zamir ul Hassan Shah. [7] As defence secretary,he had led various foreign delegation as a part of foreign diplomacy. [8] [9]
