Harry Ilan Laufer (born 16 August 1983) is a Romanian politician who served as Minister for business,trade and entrepreneurship between 29 June 2017 and 29 January 2018 in the Tudose Cabinet.
Laufer was born on August 16,1983,in Bucharest,to Jewish Romanian parents. [1] [2] He graduated from the National Academy of Physical Education and Sports. [3]
A member of the Social Democratic Party,Laufer worked for the Romanian Government as an advisor to the Department for Small and Medium Enterprises,Business Environment and Tourism in 2013–2014,including in the mandate of minister delegate in the Victor Ponta Cabinet of his former boss,Florin Jianu,who resigned from the Grindeanu Cabinet in the context of the political scandal regarding the amendment of the Criminal Code. In 2019,Laufer left the Social Democrats and founded his own Social Liberal Platform,which he later renamed to the National Identity Force Party. [5] The party claims to be centrist and social liberal. [6]
On November 14,2023,Laufer announced that his party was joining the AUR-led alliance to contest in the 2024 elections. [7] However,in March 2024,Laufer left the AUR alliance and joined the Romanian Sovereigntist Bloc,becoming its president.
Vasile Sebastian Dîncu is a Romanian politician,sociologist,professor and writer who served as Deputy Prime Minister in the CioloșCabinet and was Minister of National Defence in the CiucăCabinet.
Eduard Raul Hellvig is a Romanian political scientist,journalist and politician who served as director of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) from 2015 to 2023. A former member of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and previously of the Conservative Party (PC),he represented Bihor County in the Romanian Chamber of Deputies from 2004 to 2008,and sat for Ilfov County from 2012 to 2013. In the Victor Ponta cabinet,he was Minister of Regional Development and Tourism in 2012. In 2007,he was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Romania,a position he once again took up in 2013,and which he left upon becoming SRI director.
The Fourth Ponta Cabinet was the government of Romania from 17 December 2014 to 17 November 2015. The Cabinet was supported by the Social Democratic Party (PSD),the National Union for the Progress of Romania (UNPR) and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE),the alliance forged by Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu's Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) and Daniel Constantin's Conservative Party (PC). Sorin Mihai Cîmpeanu is a Romanian politician who served as Minister of Education in CiucăCabinet. He had previously held the same position in Ponta IV and Cîțu cabinets,and,between 5 and 17 November 2015,acted as Prime Minister of Romania,after President Klaus Iohannis accepted Prime Minister Ponta's resignation. Klaus Iohannis's appointment of Sorin Cîmpeanu was just a stopgap measure until a new candidate for the post was selected.

Florin Vasile Cîțu is a Romanian politician who served as Prime Minister of Romania between December 2020 and November 2021. Sometimes labeled as Romania's first libertarian Prime Minister,he was also the leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) between September 2021 and April 2022.
The Alliance for the Union of Romanians is a right-wing populist and nationalist political party active in Romania and Moldova. It was founded on 19 September 2019 ahead of the 2020 Romanian local and legislative elections. The party president is George Simion. The party ran in the local elections,not obtaining many votes and only winning in three towns. However,in the legislative elections,the AUR won 9% of the votes in all of Romania and its diaspora,thus becoming the fourth-largest party in the country at the central level,which surprised observers.
Nicolae Ionel Ciucă is a Romanian politician and retired general of the Romanian Land Forces who is serving as the president of the Senate of Romania. Ideologically a conservative,he served as Prime Minister of Romania between 25 November 2021 and 12 June 2023 after receiving widespread parliamentary support on behalf of his own party,the National Liberal Party (PNL) along with the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR/RMDSZ). Since 10 April 2022,he has also been serving as the president of the National Liberal Party (PNL). On 12 June 2023,he resigned as Prime Minister,being temporarily replaced by Cătălin Predoiu.
Alexandru Nazare is a Romanian politician,Minister of Finance of Romania between December 2020 and July 2021,senator elected in the 2020 parliamentary elections and the special representative of the Romanian Government for Romania's candidacy for hosting the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre,2020. Previously in 2012,he held the position of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure and in December 2008,he became the youngest representative of Romania in the European Parliament.

A political crisis began on 1 September 2021 in Romania,engulfing both major coalition partners of the Cîțu Cabinet,namely the conservative-liberal National Liberal Party (PNL) and the progressive-liberal Save Romania Union (USR). The crisis also involved former prime minister Ludovic Orban (PNL),who was set to face Prime Minister Florin Cîțu (PNL) in a leadership election during the party congress on 25 September,with the latter eventually replacing the former. Orban would eventually resign from his position as President of the Chamber of Deputies,with him and his supporters subsequently splitting from the PNL,in order to form the Force of the Right (FD).
