Ilham Yadullayev (born 17 September 1975) is an Azerbaijani former football defender, and current manager of Sumgayit FK.

Yadullayev made 35 appearances for the Azerbaijan national football team from 1998 to 2004. [1]

Managerial career

On 19 June 2014 Yadullayev was appointed as manager of Sumgayit on a one-year contract. [2]

The Azerbaijan Premier League is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Azerbaijan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each. The Premier League champion secures the right to play in UEFA Champions League first qualifying round. The runner up and the 3rd place winner secure right to play in UEFA Europa Conference League starting in second qualifying round.

The Gabala FC 2012–13 season is Gabala's eighth season and seventh Azerbaijan Premier League season. They started the season under manager Fatih Kavlak, who was sacked on 24 September 2012 following a poor run of results and was replaced by Ramiz Mammadov. Mammadov was himself sacked on 2 April 2013 following 5 games without a win, with reserve team manager Luis Aragon taking over in a Caretaker role. Gabala also competed in the Azerbaijan Cup, entering at the Last 16 stage and beating Qaradağ before being eliminated in the Quarterfinals by Qarabağ.

The Neftchi Baku 2013–14 season was Neftchi Baku's 22nd Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their fourth season under manager Boyukagha Hajiyev. Neftchi are the defending champions of the Azerbaijan Premier League and will also compete in the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Cup. They entered and were eliminated at the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League by Skënderbeu Korçë of Albania. Following their elimination from the Champions League, Boyukagha Hajiyev resigned on 25 July 2013, and was replaced by Tarlan Ahmadov. Ahmadov was sacked as manager on 23 October 2013 following Neftchi's 2–1 defeat to Khazar Lankaran in the Azerbaijan Supercup. Nazim Suleymanov was appointed the club's manager on 25 October, but resigned on 8 January 2014 following a dispute over transfer fund, and Boyukagha Hajiyev returning as manager on 11 January.

The Inter Baku 2013–14 season was Inter Baku's thirteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their fifth season under manager Kakhaber Tskhadadze. They started the season competing in the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League, defeating Mariehamn before losing to Tromsø in the second qualifying round. They reached the Quarterfinals of the Azerbaijan Cup, losing to Neftchi Baku, and finished 2nd in the League.

The Qarabağ 2013–14 season was Qarabağ's 21st Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their sixth season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. They reached the Quarterfinals of the Azerbaijan Cup, losing to Gabala, and they were crowned Champions of the Premier League. Qarabağ also competed in the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League entering at the 1st qualifying round stage. They defeated Metalurg Skopje of Macedonia, Piast Gliwice of Poland and Gefle of Sweden on their way to the playoff round where they were knocked out by Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany.

The Baku 2013-14 season was Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They competed in the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League, finishing 5th, and reached the Quarterfinals of the 2013–14 Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Ravan Baku. It was Milinko Pantićs first season as manager, having replaced Božidar Bandović on 14 June after Bandović left his position at the end of the 2012-13 season.

The Ravan Baku 2013-14 season was Ravan Baku's third, and final, season in the Azerbaijan Premier League, after finishing 10th and being relegated. They also reached the Semifinals of the Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Neftchi Baku. It was to be Ramil Aliyev's first full season as manager, however he resigned on 12 August 2013 following 2 successive defeats and Ravan bottom of the table, Vladislav Kadyrov took over as manager. Kadyrov was himself was replaced on 7 October by Shahin Diniyev, who resigned on 3 January 2014 with Güvenç Kurtar being appointed in his place.

The AZAL 2013–14 season was AZAL's ninth Azerbaijan Premier League season, in which they finished 8th in the League. They also participated in the Azerbaijan Cup, where they were defeated in the Second Round by Qarabağ. AZAL started the season under the management of Vagif Sadygov, but he was sacked on 16 March 2014 following their defeat to Neftchi Baku, and replaced the following day by former Neftchi Assistant Tarlan Ahmadov.

The Simurq 2013–14 season was Simurq's eighth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They finished 7th in the Premier League and reached the Second Round of the Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Araz. It is Giorgi Chikhradze's second full season as manager.

The Sumgayit 2013–14 season was Sumgayit's third Azerbaijan Premier League season. They finished 9th in the Premier League and they reached the Second Round of the Azerbaijan Cup where they were beaten by FK Baku. It is Agil Mammadov's first full season as manager.

The 2014–15 season was Gabala's tenth season overall and ninth competing in the Azerbaijan Premier League.

The AZAL 2014–15 season is AZAL's tenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They will participate in the League and the Azerbaijan Cup. It will be their first full season with Tarlan Ahmadov as their manager.

The Baku 2014-15 season is Baku's seventeenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They will compete in the 2014–15 Azerbaijan Premier League and the 2014–15 Azerbaijan Cup. It is their second season with Milinko Pantić as their manager.

The Qarabağ 2014–15 season was Qarabağ's 22nd Azerbaijan Premier League season and their seventh season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. They completed a domestic double by defending their Premier League title and winning the Azerbaijan Cup. In Europe, Qarabağ were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the 3rd qualifying round by Red Bull Salzburg, resulting in them going into the Play-off round for the UEFA Europa League. In the Europa League, Qarabağ reached the group stages for the first time, where they finished third, behind Internazionale and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, and ahead of Saint-Étienne.

The Sumgayit 2014-15 season is Sumgayit's fourth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They will also participate in the Azerbaijan Cup and it is their first season with Ilham Yadullayev as their manager.

The Sumgayit FK 2015-16 season is Sumgayit's fifth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and sixth season in their history. They will participate in the Azerbaijan Cup as well as the League.
