Romanian literature is the entirety of literature written by Romanian authors, although the term may also be used to refer to all literature written in the Romanian language or by any authors native to Romania.
Radu Beligan was a Romanian actor, director, and essayist, with an activity of over 70 years in theatre, film, television, and radio. On 15 December 2013, confirmed by Guinness World Records, the actor received the title of "The oldest active theatre actor" on the planet. He was elected honorary member of the Romanian Academy in 2004.
Mateiu Ion Caragiale, also credited as Matei or Matheiu, or in the antiquated version Mateiŭ, was a Romanian poet and prose writer, best known for his novel Craii de Curtea-Veche, which portrays the milieu of boyar descendants before and after World War I. Caragiale's style, associated with Symbolism, the Decadent movement of the fin de siècle, and early modernism, was an original element in the Romanian literature of the interwar period. In other late contributions, Caragiale pioneered detective fiction locally, but there is disagreement over whether his work in the field produced a complete narrative or just fragments. The scarcity of writings he left is contrasted by their critical acclaim and a large, mostly posthumous, following, commonly known as mateists.
Craii de Curtea-Veche is a novel by the inter-war Romanian author Mateiu Caragiale. Published in 1929, it took the author more than two decades to complete, and constituted his only major work. It has been translated into English by Sean Cotter as Rakes of the Old Court (2021) and by Cristian Baciu as Gallants of the Old Court (2011).
Ecaterina Nazare is a Romanian actress. She was the winner of the ACIN Best Actress award for her cinematic performances in 1983 and 1985, and is noted in particular for her portrayal of Maria in the Dan Pița film, Pas în doi. During the 1990s and early 2000s, Ecaterina was employed by the National Theatre in Bucharest.

The I. L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film is a public university in Bucharest, Romania, founded in 1954. It is named in honour of playwright Ion Luca Caragiale.
Kir Ianulea or Kyr Ianulea is a fantasy and historical fiction novella or short story, published by Romanian author Ion Luca Caragiale in 1909. Borrowing the elements of a fairy tale, satire and frame story, it has become recognized as one of Caragiale's leading contributions to short prose, and is often described as one of the seminal works written by him during the last decade of his life. While its narrative structure is largely based on Belfagor arcidiavolo, a story by 16th century writer and political thinker Niccolò Machiavelli, Kir Ianulea employs additional elements such as anecdotes to evolve into a social fresco of late 18th-century Wallachia and the Ottoman-ruled Balkans as a whole. Caragiale primarily adapts Machiavelli's theme, which is a fable about the innate unreliability of women, to the realities of the Phanariote epoch, focusing his attention on the interactions between Greeks and Romanians while offering additional insight into the process of acculturation.
Walk of Fame is a project organized by Cocor and Metropolis Theater. The actors thus honored receive a star on the boulevard in Time Square, in Bucharest, Romania. The criterion for choosing actors depends on the month in which they were born. The project is similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in Los Angeles, United States. The Walk of Fame was inaugurated on January 31, 2011.

Mișu or Mihail Ion Văcărescu, most commonly known as Claymoor, was a Wallachian, later Romanian fashion journalist and gossip columnist, the son of poet Iancu Văcărescu. A retired cavalry officer in the Romanian Land Forces, he began writing in his late twenties or early thirties, reaching his fame as a contributor to the Francophone daily L'Indépendence Roumaine. He was widely respected for his verdicts on fashion, and, as an arbiter of taste, contributed to his paper's renown; however, people of his day also ridiculed him for his florid literary style, his political involvement with the Conservative Party, and his homosexuality.
George Constantin was a Romanian actor. He appeared in more than fifty films from 1960 to 1994.
Scarred Hearts is a 2016 Romanian-German biographical film based on the eponymous novel by Max Blecher.
La Medeleni is a trio of novels written by Ionel Teodoreanu. The books were set in the village of Medeleni, in Iași County, Romania. The trilogy includes: The Fickle Border published in 1925, Roads published in 1926, and Between the Winds published in 1927. Teodoreanu’s inspiration for the novels came from a mansion on the bank of the river Prut where friends from the literary world would gather. On May 21 2016, the mansion became a museum in memoriam of Ionel Teodoreanu.
I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians is a 2018 internationally co-produced black comedy film directed by Radu Jude. The title is pulled from a speech by Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Antonescu to the Council of Ministers preceding the massacre in 1941 of around 34,000 Jews, Roma people, and Ukrainians.

Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World is a 2023 black comedy film written and directed by Radu Jude. It stars Ilinca Manolache with supporting performances by Nina Hoss and Uwe Boll. It is a co-production among Romania, Croatia, France and Luxembourg.
