Politics in Estonia takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic republic, whereby the Prime Minister of Estonia is the head of government, and of a multi-party system. Legislative power is vested in the Estonian parliament. Executive power is exercised by the government, which is led by the prime minister. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. Estonia is a member of United Nations, the European Union, and NATO.
Latvia, officially known as the Republic of Latvia, is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. The Lithuanian Armed Forces is the military of Lithuania, acting as the principal deterrent against any security threat to the nation. It currently consists of 20,565 active personnel. Conscription was ended in September 2008 but reintroduced in 2015 due to concerns about the geopolitical environment in light of the Russo-Ukrainian War.

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) is a multinational military college, established by the three Baltic states in 1999. She has previously held the office of Minister of Defence and Military Veterans from June 2012 to August 2021. She was also the Minister of Home Affairs from 2004 to 2009 and Minister of Correctional Services from 2009 to 2012.

The National Defence University (NDU), formerly introduced as Army War Course (1963–70), the National Defence College (1970–2007), is the military university with additional status of public university of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan focused on military education and training for the armed forces, including Pakistan military forces and two hundred foreign participants. Formerly established on 28 May 1970 at Rawalpindi, its academic principles are focused on command instructions, national security, military strategy, and war studies among other specified academic disciplines. It is one of the oldest military education and training institutes in the country with additional enrolments reserved for the civil servants.
The president of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is the head of state and nominal head of government of Myanmar. The president leads the Cabinet of Myanmar, the executive branch of the Burmese government. Ants Laaneots is an Estonian politician and former military officer. He was previously the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces and a veteran officer in the Soviet Army. Laaneots previously served as the Commandant of the Estonian National Defence College from 2001 to 2006. He was appointed the Commander-in-Chief on 5 December 2006 and was promoted to general in 2011. After retiring from the military, he became a politician.
The Estonian Defence Forces are the unified military forces of the Republic of Estonia. The Estonian Defence Forces consist of the Estonian Land Forces, the Estonian Navy, the Estonian Air Force, and the paramilitary Estonian Defence League. The national defence policy aims to guarantee the preservation of the independence and sovereignty of the state, the integrity of its land area, territorial waters, airspace and its constitutional order. Its main goals remain the development and maintenance of a credible capability to defend the nation's vital interests and development of the defence forces in a way that ensures their interoperability with the armed forces of NATO and European Union member states to participate in the full range of missions for these military alliances.
Margus Kolga is an Estonian diplomat. He graduated from the University of Tartu's Faculty of History in 1992. After graduation, he joined the Ministry of Defence of Estonia, where until 1994 he served as a desk officer in the Supply and Logistics Department. In 1994 he was promoted to the post of the Head of the Bureau of Defence Policy and from 1995 he worked as Head of the Department of the Security Policy. He served as the deputy chancellor on defense policy for Estonia from 1996 to 2003. During this period Margus Kolga was actively involved in Estonia's NATO integration process and headed the Governmental Interagency Task Force for NATO membership. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as a senior research fellow in the Baltic Defence College and was responsible for the organising and support of the newly established Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC). In 2007 Margus Kolga joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia as the Director General of the 1st Political Department until 2010. From 2010-2015 he served as the Permanent Representative of Estonia to the United Nations. In 2015 he was seconded to the State Chancellery to coordinate the drafting of the new Security Policy Strategy. In 2016 he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and took his position as head of the UN Security Council Campaign Task Force.
Geoffrey Eric Molson, is a Canadian businessman and current president and chief executive officer and co-owner of the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens, Evenko, Bell Centre and L'Équipe Spectra alongside his brothers Andrew Molson and Justin Molson. He is a member of the Molson family. He is also the Honorary Colonel of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, in Quebec, Canada. Molson was made a knight of the National Order of Quebec in 2019 and a member of the Order of Canada in 2021.
Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov is a Russian General of the Army, the current Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and first Deputy Defence Minister, replacing Nikolay Makarov. He was appointed by President Vladimir Putin on 9 November 2012.
Stepan Poltorak was the Minister of Defence of Ukraine from 14 October 2014 until 29 August 2019. Previously he was the commander of the Internal Troops of Ukraine and National Guard of Ukraine. Poltorak's rank was General of the army of Ukraine. From 1 January 2019, Poltorak remained the country's defense minister as a civilian, after resigning from military service in October 2018. Poltorak resigned at the request of newly inaugurated president Volodymyr Zelensky on 20 May 2019.
Admiral Sir Antony David Radakin, is a senior Royal Navy officer. He is presently the 24th Chief of the Defence Staff, the professional head of the British Armed Forces since November 2021, succeeding General Sir Nicholas Carter. Radakin also served as First Sea Lord, the professional head of the Naval Service from June 2019 to November 2021. He was Chief of Staff, Joint Forces Command, from 2016 to 2018, and the Second Sea Lord and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff from 2018 to 2019.
Riho Terras is an Estonian politician and a former military officer who is serving as a member of the European Parliament since 1 February 2020. He was the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces from 2011 to 2018. He was promoted to general in 2017.
Lieutenant General Per Kurt (Percurt) Green is a Swedish Army officer whose senior commands have included commanding officer of the Joint Operations Command, Deputy Supreme Commander and military commander of the Middle Military District, and Commandant General in Stockholm.
Stefan Dinchev Yanev is a Bulgarian Army officer and Brigade general who served as deputy prime minister and minister of defence from January to May 2017 in the then caretaker government. He served as caretaker Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 12 May to 13 December 2021. He has served since 13 December as minister of defence in the following regular government.
