Imago Sports Management is a Bangladeshi talent and sports-based agency. It was founded by Tamzidul Islam, Quazi Sabir, Ahmed Raqib, and Rejwan Uz Zaman. [1] [2]

Consulting and management

Imago Sports Management is the overseas players management partner for Bangladesh Premier League. Since 2015, Imago Sports Management has been conducting the players draft event also is the official players management partner of Bangladesh Cricket Board for Bangladesh Premier League. [3] [4] Consulting works with many corporations on marketing and sponsorship programs, Imago Sports Management works with leagues and franchises throughout Bangladesh.

Masters' Cricket Carnival

Masters’ Cricket Carnival-Bangladesh (MCC-Bangladesh) is an initiative of former national cricketers of Bangladesh. Every year, the tournament will take place in different cities of Bangladesh contested by former national & first-class cricketers of Bangladesh. The 2016 edition of the tournament took place in Cox's Bazar and Dhaka. Imago Sports Management Ltd was the sole management partner of the tournament. [1] [2] [6]

Wheelchair cricket launched in Bangladesh

First ever wheelchair cricket tournament in Bangladesh launched in 2016 by Imago Sports Management in association with Wheelchair Cricketers Welfare Association- Bangladesh. [7] Thirty-Six (36) Wheelchair Cricketers (Twenty-Five (25) from outside of Dhaka) participated in this daylong tournament. For most of the wheelchair users this was the very first time they participated in a competitive sports match. [8] [9] [10] [11]

Dhaka Women's Marathon

Everest Academy and Imago Sports Management organizes Dhaka Women's Marathon, the only all women's marathon. The marathon is organised to celebrate International Women's Dhaka and for a safer Dhaka for women. More than 500 participants run in the 10K marathon in Hatirjheel, Dhaka. 110 participants finished the race within 90 minutes mark. Mirona Khatun of Bangladesh Navy became the winner of 2017 edition, finishing the race with a timing of 52m 18s. [12] [13] [14] [15] [16]

Sports Hub Bangladesh

Sports Hub Bangladesh is an annual conference of sports governing body personnel, sports professionals, organizers, sports personalities and sports enthusiasts. The goal of the initiative is to bring together all the stakeholders of the Bangladesh sports industry and give them a platform to network. Young students, sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to register as participants and learn about the nuances of the sports industry from the experts. On September 23, 2017, Imago Sports organized the first sports business conference of Bangladesh. Sports Industry stalwarts and marketing experts shared their take on current trends in Sports Marketing, Club & Franchise Management, Sports Journalism and Bangladesh Football. Followed by the sessions, a Sports Business Idea Competition for university students was organized. More than 400 participants were present during the event. [17] [18]

It is run directly by the professional football league committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Dhaka Derby is one of the most popular matches in the league. The league is the successor of Dhaka Premier Division League, which existed from 1948 to 2006.

Mohammad Mahmudullah, also known as Riyad, is a Bangladeshi cricketer and former captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team in T20I. He has played First-class and List A cricket for Dhaka Division and has represented Bangladesh in all forms of the game. An all-rounder, he is a lower or middle-order batsman as well as an off spin bowler. He has almost 10,000 runs and 150+ wickets. He is prominent for his ability to finish a close limited over game. He is the first Bangladeshi to score a World Cup hundred. Like Sanath Jayasuriya, Kevin Pietersen, Shoaib Malik, Steve Smith and many more, Mahmudullah started his career as a bowler and then converted into a batsman who could bowl handy off-breaks.

Chittagong Abahani Limited, also spelled as Chattogram Abahani or Chittagong Abahoni, is a sports club based in Chittagong, Bangladesh. A wing of Abahani Limited was established at Chittagong in 1980 known as Chittagong Abahani. Though it was established as a wing of Abahani Limited, Chittagong Abahani has its own directorial board, club structure and operates separately at present. It is considered as the most successful football club from Chittagong. It is currently a team of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top tier of Bangladeshi football.

Nasir Hossain is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He represents Rangpur Division at domestic level. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in August 2011.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league consisting of seven franchises. The BPL is one of the three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh. Wheelchair Cricket Welfare Association Bangladesh (WCWAB) is a national level non-government and non profit voluntary organization established for the development of the physically challenged people of Bangladesh. The organization was formed by wheelchair cricketer Mohammad Mohasin. The organization has been working for the disabled people since 2010 aiming to incorporate the persons with disabilities & to strengthen in mainstream society. In 2016, the organization registered under the Social Welfare Department of Bangladesh. WCWAB have elected management board. The warriors on the wheel chairs started their journey of playing cricket in 2010. Since then, Bangladeshi Wheelchair cricket players have participated in major tournaments like ICRC International Cricket Tournament in Bangladesh and Asia Cup in India.

Aliss Al Islam is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Dhaka Dynamites in the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League on 11 January 2019. On his T20 debut, he took a hat-trick against the Rangpur Riders, finishing with four wickets for 26 runs, and was named the player of the match. However, two days after the match, he was reported for a suspect bowling action. In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Khulna Tigers in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League</span> Cricket Tournament

The 2019–20 BPL season, also known as BPL 7 or Bangabandhu BPL Presented by Akash DTH and Powered by TVS, was the seventh season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh. The competition was organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The season was scheduled to originally start from 6 December 2019 and end on 11 January 2020, with the opening ceremony to be held on 3 December 2019. Comilla Victorians were the defending champions. However, the tournament was delayed by five days and started on 11 December 2019 and ended on 17 January 2020, with the opening ceremony held on 8 December 2019.

The 2019-20 Bangladesh Premier League players draft took place in 17 November 2017.

The Dhaka Platoon, formerly known as the Dhaka Dynamites, is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Dhaka Division. Following the 2012 competition, the Platoon are one of the BPL's seven existing members. The team is headquartered at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, and so is one of three teams playing in the city, alongside the Dhaka Division cricket team and Dhaka Metropolis cricket team which are active in first-class cricket.
