In Cold Blood is an English-language television docu-drama telecast on MediaCorp Channel 5, with each episode re-enacting a major violent crime in Singapore. The series first premiered on Channel 5 in 2011. A total of three seasons were run in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Aileen Carol Wuornos was an American serial killer. In 1989–1990, while engaging in street prostitution along highways in Florida, she shot dead and robbed seven of her male clients. Dexter is an American crime drama television series that aired on Showtime from October 1, 2006, to September 22, 2013. Set in Miami, the series centers on Dexter Morgan, a forensic technician specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department, who leads a secret parallel life as a vigilante serial killer, hunting down murderers who have not been adequately punished by the justice system due to corruption or legal technicalities. An angel of mercy or angel of death is a type of criminal offender who is usually employed as a medical practitioner or a caregiver and intentionally harms or kills people under their care. The angel of mercy is often in a position of power and may decide the victim would be better off if they no longer suffered from whatever severe illness is plaguing them. Faryion Edward Wardrip is an American rapist and serial killer who assaulted and murdered a total of five women. Four of the women were killed in Wichita Falls, Texas, and the surrounding counties. One woman was murdered in Fort Worth, approximately a two-hour drive southeast of Wichita Falls. Wardrip's killing spree began at the end of 1984 and lasted until the middle of 1986. <span class="mw-page-title-main">1998 Tampines flat murder</span> 1998 murder of fruit-seller in Singapore

On 26 August 1998, 50-year-old Tan Eng Yan, a fruit stall assistant working at a market in Tampines, was found brutally murdered at the toilet of her Tampines flat. Tan, also known as Lily or Tan Ah Leng, was stabbed and slashed 58 times and four of the knife wounds were fatal. Her money, amounting to over S$2,200 in cash and S$6,000 in coins, were also being stolen from her flat. It took five days before the police arrested a fishmonger named Lau Lee Peng, who was a close friend of Tan, after he confessed during witness questioning that he killed Tan and led the police to where he hid the money.

On 26 August 1974, 22-month-old toddler Eva Soh Ai-Mei died of unnatural causes in her flat in Holland Road, Singapore. She had suffered from multiple injuries over the few weeks before her death, including a ruptured spleen and liver. Her family's maidservant, Ng Cha Boo, who was believed to have abused Eva, was charged with murder. Ng was initially convicted and sentenced to death; she later successfully appealed her sentence, her murder charge was reduced to culpable homicide and she was re-sentenced to six years' imprisonment.
