Plot
In 1984, in the small town of Namanga, Kenya, a young girl is found alone in the wilderness. Jack Ringtree, who found the girl, brings her to the local school to find out more about her. Namanga is going through a severe drought, which causes water to become scarce. Jack visits a nearby mining outpost to ask if they have water. the owner, Chris Tucker, tells him off. Jack's wife, Lee, arrives in Namanga that night, and has sex with Jack. Meanwhile, a local boy is kidnapped by a troop of chacma baboons.
The next morning, one of the miners, Claud Gagnon, is mauled by a troop of baboons. The grandfather of the missing child calls up Jack and Chris, asking if they can help him find his grandson. Chris leads the miners and a group of Maasai women to looks for the missing child. They find both the bodies of the child and Claud. The group massacres a troop of baboons while Jack takes images as proof.
Jack and Chris pled to the local district officer, Tshombe, to evacuate everyone in Namanga to Nairobi, but Tshombe dismisses them. Jack then travels to Nairobi to find someone who can eradicate the baboons, but is also dismissed. Lucille, Claud's wife, griefs over his death and plans to leave Kenya. Meanwhile, two electricians tries to fix a broken telephone line. A troop of baboons attacks them and kills one of the man, while the other escapes.
The next day, Lee is attacked and almost killed by a troop of baboons, but is saved by Jack. The mining outpost is also attacked by a large troop of baboons, but everyone escaped. Chris gets a report of a supply truck that crashed 10 miles away from Namanga. Chris, Jack, and two miners, Odom and Uto, travels to the site. Uto explores the area and finds that almost everything has been stolen. The others find a troop of baboons with the supply. Chris scares them off and Jack explores the flipped supply truck. The troop of baboons returns, now more fierce, Chris, Odom, and Uto takes of on the jeep, leaving Jack behind. Meanwhile, Tshombe flies Lucille flies of town, but a stowaway baboon on the plane attacks them, forcing the plane to crash, killing all three of them.
When Chris returns, he gets a report about a local school getting attacked. He sends Odom and Uto to take care of the situation. Jack bribes the troop of baboons and successfully escapes. He hot wires an abandoned bus and meets up with Chris. They all head to the school and successfully saves everyone.
The entire town is barricaded inside a local hotel, with the miners guarding the area. The teacher, Linda, is suddenly killed by a baboon that broke into the hotel. The miners protect the locals, while Chris and Jack fights off the horde of monkeys. Chris is knocked out when it suddenly rains. The rain scares away the baboons and causes the town's drought to finally be over.
Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to 'place of cool waters', a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. The city proper had a population of 4,397,073 in the 2019 census.

It is fenced on three sides, whereas the open southern boundary allows migrating wildlife to move between the park and the adjacent Kitengela plains. Herbivores gather in the park during the dry season. Nairobi National Park is negatively affected by increasing human and livestock populations, changing land use and poaching of wildlife. Despite its proximity to the city and its relative small size, it boasts a large and varied wildlife population, and is one of Kenya's most successful rhinoceros sanctuaries.
Lamu or Lamu Town is a small town on Lamu Island, which in turn is a part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya. Situated 341 kilometres (212 mi) by road northeast of Mombasa that ends at Mokowe Jetty, from where the sea channel has to be crossed to reach Lamu Island, it is the headquarter of Lamu County and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Time and space meant nothing to the Eye and it existed as a physical embodiment of man's inner conscience.

Set in British East Africa, the film's adventure story was well received by critics, earning three Academy Award nominations, but it was a failure at the box office.
The Simba rebellion, also known as the Orientale revolt, was a regional uprising which took place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo between 1963 and 1965 in the wider context of the Congo Crisis and the Cold War. The rebellion, located in the east of the country, was led by the followers of Patrice Lumumba, who had been ousted from power in 1960 by Joseph Kasa-Vubu and Joseph-Désiré Mobutu and subsequently killed in January 1961 in Katanga. The rebellion was contemporaneous with the Kwilu rebellion led by fellow Lumumbist Pierre Mulele in central Congo.
The Battle of Kamdesh took place during the war in Afghanistan. It occurred on October 3, 2009, when a force of 300 Taliban assaulted the American Combat Outpost ("COP") Keating near the town of Kamdesh in Nuristan Province in eastern Afghanistan. The attack was the bloodiest battle for US forces since the Battle of Wanat in July 2008, which occurred 20 miles (32 km) away from Kamdesh. The attack on COP Keating resulted in 8 Americans killed and 27 wounded while the Taliban suffered 150–200 killed.
The Great Rift: Africa's Wild Heart is a British nature documentary series, which began airing on BBC Two on 24 January 2010. A BBC/Animal Planet co-production, the three-part series focuses on the landscape and wildlife of the Great Rift Valley in East Africa. At the end of each fifty-minute episode, a ten-minute featurette, Inside The Great Rift, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of filming the series.

Camp Scare is a 2010 direct-to-DVD animated comedy horror-mystery film; the fifteenth direct-to-video film based upon the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoon, and was released on September 14, 2010. The film was released seven months after the release of Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo. The 15th direct-to-video Scooby-Doo film, the film sold 53,389 units in its first week and as of January 2013, it has sold approximately 194,000 units.
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 is a hunting video game published by Activision in conjunction with Cabela's for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. It was released in the U.S. for the DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 and for the Wii on October 26, 2010; special editions of the game were released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii that same day bundled with the Top Shot Elite wireless hunting controller. It was released in Europe and Australia in 2011. The game's story features the character Cole Rainsford, who, along with his father, are on an African safari to hunt dangerous possessed animals that are terrorizing locals. The plot and script for the game was written by the screenwriter Brad Santos. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 also features shooting galleries as well as multi-level multiplayer modes. This game had an additional re-release for the Nintendo Wii titled Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011: Special Edition, which included an exclusive optional "cell-shaded animation mode". The game received mixed reviews from critics.
On 21 September 2013, four masked gunmen attacked the Westgate shopping mall, an upmarket mall in Nairobi, Kenya. There are conflicting reports about the number killed in the attack, since part of the mall collapsed due to a fire that started during the siege. The attack resulted in 71 total deaths, including 62 civilians, five Kenyan soldiers, and all four gunmen. Approximately 200 people were wounded in the massacre.
Negan is a character in the comic book series The Walking Dead, its self-titled television adaptation, and its spin-off series Dead City. He was the leader of the Saviors, a group of survivors in the Sanctuary that oppresses other survivor communities and forces them to pay tribute to him. In the comics, the character's appearance is based on Henry Rollins, as confirmed by Charlie Adlard. Jeffrey Dean Morgan portrays Negan in the television series, having first appeared in the sixth-season finale.

Operation Grandslam was an offensive undertaken by United Nations peacekeeping forces from 28 December 1962 to 15 January 1963 against the forces of the State of Katanga, a secessionist state rebelling against the Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. The Katangese forces were decisively defeated and Katanga was forcibly reintegrated into the Congo.

The Uasin Gishu people were a community that inhabited a plateau located in western Kenya that today bears their name. They are said to have arisen from the scattering of the Kwavi by the Maasai in the 1830s. They were one of two significant sections of that community that stayed together. The other being the Laikipiak with whom they would later ally against the Maasai.
Operation Unokat, also styled Operation UNOKAT, was an offensive undertaken by United Nations peacekeeping forces from 5 to 21 December 1961 against the gendarmerie of the State of Katanga, a secessionist state rebelling against the Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. The United Nations had tried several times to reconcile the government of the Congo with the State of Katanga, which had declared independence under Moïse Tshombe with Belgian support in 1960.
