Red Hot + Country was the follow-up to No Alternative in the Red Hot Series of compilation albums, a series produced to raise awareness and money to fight AIDS/HIV as well as other related health and social issues. This compilation featured music from the classic country and classic rock genres performed by an assortment of seasoned old and new country music artists.
Stephen Thomas Azar is an American country music singer, songwriter, guitarist, and philanthropist. Active since 1996, he has released a total of seven studio albums: one on the former River North Records, one on Mercury Nashville, and five independently. Azar has charted nine times on Billboard Hot Country Songs, most successfully with his late 2001-early 2002 hit "I Don't Have to Be Me ", which reached the number two position there. After leaving Mercury in 2005, Azar began recording independently; Slide On Over Here, his second independently-released album, charted the top-40 country singles "Moo La Moo" and "Sunshine " in 2009.
The Walls Came Down is the fifth studio album released by country music artist Collin Raye. The album's lead-off single, "I Can Still Feel You", was Raye's fourth and final Number One on the Billboard country charts. Other singles from this album were the Top Five hits "Someone You used to Know" and "Anyone Else", as well as the number 39-peaking "Start Over Georgia", which he co-wrote with his brother Scotty Wray. Although not released as a single, the track "The Eleventh Commandment" was made into a music video, which aired on CMT and TNN. "Make Sure You've Got It All" was later recorded by Diamond Rio on their 2002 album Completely.
Waitin' on Joe is the second studio album by country music artist Steve Azar. It was released in 2002 on Mercury Nashville Records as the second album of his career, six years after his debut album Heartbreak Town. Waitin' on Joe features the singles "I Don't Have to be Me " and the title track "Waitin' on Joe". The former was Azar's biggest hit, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his most successful single to date, while the title track peaked at number 28 on the country charts.
Heartbreak Town is the debut studio album of American country music artist Steve Azar. Released on River North Records in 1996, it features the singles "Someday" and "I Never Stopped Loving You" that peaked at numbers 51 and 50, respectively, on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that year. Azar did not release another album until Waitin' on Joe six years later. The track "I Go Crazy" is a cover of Paul Davis' hit single from 1978.
Mark Chesnutt is the tenth studio album released by American country music artist Mark Chesnutt. His only album for the Columbia Records Nashville label, it features the singles "She Was", "I Want My Baby Back" and "I'm in Love with a Married Woman", which peaked at #11, #47, and #48, respectively, on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "I'm in Love with a Married Woman" was later recorded by Blaine Larsen on his 2006 album Rockin' You Tonight.
The Vanishing Race is the twelfth album by Australian soft rock band Air Supply, released in 1993. Although the album failed to reach the US charts, its single "Goodbye" peaked at No. 35 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The album became especially relevant in Asia, where singles "Goodbye", which reached No. 1 in several Asian countries, and "It's Never Too Late" helped the album reach platinum certification. The album sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
Del Rio, TX 1959 is the debut album of American country music artist Radney Foster. It was released in 1992 on the Arista Nashville label, and it produced five singles for Foster on the Billboard country charts: "Just Call Me Lonesome", "Nobody Wins", "Easier Said Than Done", "Hammer and Nails", and "Closing Time". All of these except "Closing Time" were Top 40 hits on the country charts; "Nobody Wins" was the highest-charting, reaching #2.
Walkin' in the Sun is the forty-sixth album by American singer/guitarist Glen Campbell, released in 1990. It includes the single "She's Gone Gone Gone", Campbell's last Top 10 hit on the country music charts. The single itself was released via Universal Records, a short-lived label founded by Jimmy Bowen, instead. This album, however, marked his return to Capitol Records.
Randy Rogers Band is the sixth album released by the Randy Rogers Band, an American country music group. This is their second album on a major label. "In My Arms Instead" was the first single released from the album; it entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at #58.
Won't Be Blue Anymore is the fifth studio album by country music artist Dan Seals. It was his most successful studio album; the only one to reach No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. The album featured some of Seals most popular songs, including "Bop" and "Meet Me in Montana", a duet with Marie Osmond. These and the third single, "Everything That Glitters ", all reached No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. "Bop" was a major crossover hit, peaking at No. 10 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. The compact disc format of this album was released on the album's initial release. It has been out-of-print for more than 20 years and is highly collectible.
