Jakarta, officially the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and formerly known as Batavia until 1949, is the capital city of Indonesia and an autonomous region at the provincial level. Lying on the northwest coast of Java, the world's most populous island, Jakarta is the largest metropole in Southeast Asia and serves as the diplomatic capital of ASEAN. The Special Region has a status equivalent to that of a province and is bordered by two other provinces: West Java to the south and east; and Banten to the west. Its coastline faces the Java Sea to the north, and it shares a maritime border with Lampung to the west. Jakarta's metropolitan area is ASEAN's second largest economy after Singapore. In 2023, the city's GDP PPP was estimated at US$724.010 billion.
The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) is an autonomous graduate school and policy-oriented think tank of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Founded in 1996 as the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS), RSIS offers graduate education in international affairs and strategic studies, taught by an array of international faculty. The school is named in honour of S. Rajaratnam, Singapore's former Deputy Prime Minister who had also been its longest-serving Foreign Minister. It is regarded as one of the best graduate schools for international studies in Asia.

Eurosatory is the largest international exhibition for the land and air-land defence and security industry. It is held every two years in the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, Paris, France. The Anoa is a 6x6 armoured personnel carrier developed by PT Pindad of Indonesia. The vehicle is named after the Anoa, which is a type of buffalo indigenous to Indonesia. The prototype was first unveiled at the 61st anniversary of TNI on October 5, 2006, in TNI HQ at Cilangkap, east of capital Jakarta.
Israel and Indonesia have no formal diplomatic ties, although they maintain quiet trade, tourism and security contacts. In 2012, Indonesia spoke of upgrading relations with Israel and opening a consulate in Ramallah, but this agreement was never implemented.
Jakarta Fair is a fair held annually in Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia, in June and July. It features exhibitions, trade promotions, shopping, music performances, various shows, amusement rides and a food festival. Jakarta Fair is part of a series of events to held to celebrate the capital's anniversary, which falls on June 22. The Jakarta Fair sees exhibitors from across the country display a whole range of goods and products ranging from specialty food items to traditional handmade arts and crafts. In addition to the many exhibitors, there is also live entertainment including music, dance and cultural performances.
The International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, more commonly referred to as IDEAS, is a defence sector event, held biennially, in Pakistan. Since its inception by President Pervez Musharraf in 2000, it has grown to include more than 54,000 trade visitors, 290 delegates members, 133 national exhibitors and 294 exhibitors from around the world as of IDEAS 2016.

The Pindad Komodo or Pindad Dragon for export markets is a 4x4 light armored car developed and produced by Pindad. The vehicle was developed after Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono made a visit to Pindad's main office and asked them to create an indigenous tactical vehicle in order to serve the needs of the Indonesian police and military as an alternative to other 4x4 tactical vehicles such as the Humvee as a personal challenge to the company. The vehicle was given its present name by President Yudhoyono after it was unveiled to the public at the 2012 Indo Defence Expo and Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia so that the Komodo can have a strong impression "at any combat field and could bring the glory for Indonesia.", especially since the Komodo dragon is an endemic animal native to Indonesia.
Bangladesh and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1971. Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim country, whereas Bangladesh is the world's fourth largest Muslim country. They are partners in the United Nations and various multilateral organisations, particularly in international peacekeeping, the Developing 8 Countries, the Non-Aligned Movement, the World Trade Organization and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Bangladesh has an embassy in Jakarta, and Indonesia has one in Dhaka. Official diplomatic relations were established in 1972 after Indonesia became one of the first Muslim countries to recognise independent Bangladesh.

The convention and exhibition center was inaugurated on 4 August 2015. It is the biggest convention and exhibition center in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

ICC emphasizes the five pillars of pop culture, namely comics, toys, movies, video games, and lifestyles. It has featured numbers of notable international actors and actresses, as well as comic artists, DJs, VTubers, and professional cosplayers.
Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) is an international defense exhibition held biennially in Egypt, showcasing advancements in air, land, and sea military technologies. EDEX is organized by Arabian World Events in partnership with the Egyptian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Military Production.
Jakarta International Expo, or JIExpo, is a convention, exhibition and entertainment complex located at Pademangan in North Jakarta, Indonesia. Opened in 2010, it was developed by the Central Cipta Murdaya group. Built in the area of the former Kemayoran Airport. JIExpo recently underwent an expansion from 2016 to 2019, adding an international theatre and convention center.
Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) is an annual trade fair in Indonesia. It is the biggest trade, tourism and investment fair in Indonesia. The fair is held in the month of October. The fair was being held at JIExpo at Kemayoran in Jakarta for more than 30 years, but since 2017 the venue is shifted to ICE at BSD City within Greater Jakarta.
