Indo Defence Expo & Forum is a biannual arms and defence technology sales exhibition as well as promotional event for international defence and security equipment manufacturers, which has been held since 2004 at JIExpo, Jakarta, Indonesia. [1] It is the largest exhibition of its kind in Southeast Asia and a world calendar event. [2]

Latest military, aviation, and nautical defence and security technologies are usually showcased at the event, which is also a meeting point of key decision makers from various defence authorities and companies from around the world. The exhibition is being participated by defence companies from countries all over the world. On the sidelines of the event seminars and symposiums also arranged to explore technology transfer among participating countries. [3] [4]

Founded in 1996 as the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS), RSIS offers graduate education in international affairs and strategic studies, taught by an array of international faculty. The school is named in honour of S. Rajaratnam, Singapore's former Deputy Prime Minister who had also been its longest-serving Foreign Minister. It is regarded as one of the best graduate schools for international studies in Asia.

The SS2 is a replacement for the Pindad SS1 created by Pindad. It had been seen during the ASEAN Army Rifles contest by foreign media in 2006 aside from exposure by local Indonesian media.

The Indonesia International Motor Show is an annual automotive exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is organized by Dyandra Promosindo, which is a subsidiary of Kompas Gramedia. Since 2009, the exhibition is held at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran in Pademangan, North Jakarta.

The Pindad Komodo or Pindad Dragon for export markets is a 4x4 light armored car developed and produced by Pindad. The vehicle was developed after Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono made a visit to Pindad's main office and asked them to create an indigenous tactical vehicle in order to serve the needs of the Indonesian police and military as an alternative to other 4x4 tactical vehicles such as the Humvee as a personal challenge to the company. The vehicle was given its present name by President Yudhoyono after it was unveiled to the public at the 2012 Indo Defence Expo and Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia so that the Komodo can have a strong impression "at any combat field and could bring the glory for Indonesia.", especially since the Komodo dragon is an endemic animal native to Indonesia.
