Indraja Shankar (born 17 May 2000) is an former Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films. [2] [3] She is the daughter of Tamil comedian Robo Shankar.

Career

Indraja debuted in the film Bigil in 2019 playing the role of a football player named Pandiyamma. [4] In 2021, she made her Telugu debut in the film Paagal [5] where she played one of Vishwak Sen's lovers and featured in the song "Ee Single Chinnode". She also acted in the film Viruman in 2022.

She also participated in the reality show Survivor (Tamil season 1) as a contestant. [6]

Personal life

In 2024, Indraja married her long distance relative Karthik in a traditional Hindu wedding in March that year. [7] On January 20th 2025, Indraja gave birth to a son. [8]

Ponnar Shankar, also known as Kalaignarin Ponnar-Shankar, is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language epic historical action drama film produced and directed by Thiagarajan. It is a fictionalised account of the Ponnar Shankar epic, adapted from M. Karunanidhi's novel of the same name. It features Thiagarajan's son Prashanth in lead dual roles as warrior princes, portraying the title characters, also Jayaram in an important role with actresses Pooja Chopra and Divya Parameshwaran making their film debut as princesses and Prakash Raj as the main antagonist. The film also features an extensive cast of supporting actors with Prabhu, Khushbu Sundar, Sneha, Vijayakumar, Nassar, Rajkiran, Napoleon, and Ponvannan, amongst others.
