Ingvild Ofte Arntsen (born 1988) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.
Hailing from Værøy Municipality, she became active in the Young Christian Democrats, the youth wing of the Christian Democratic Party. Advancing from member of the central board to deputy leader, in 2012 she was hired as secretary-general of the Young Christian Democrats. [1] Mathea Fjukstad Hansen took over in 2014. [2]
Arntsen grew up in the Pentecostal faith. When moving to Oslo for her higher education in 2007, she joined the Filadelfia church. [3]
Arntsen worked as an adviser for the Christian Democratic Party's parliamentary caucus. [3] When the Christian Democratic Party became a part of Solberg's Cabinet, Arntsen was eventually appointed as State Secretary for Olaug Bollestad in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in April 2019. From May 2019 she doubled as a State Secretary for Kjell Ingolf Ropstad in the Ministry of Children and Families as well. In January 2020, she left both positions to continue as State Secretary for Knut Arild Hareide in the Ministry of Transport. In October 2020 she reverted to splitting her time between Bollestad and Ropstad. She remained a State Secretary until Solberg's Cabinet fell in October 2021. It currently holds three seats in the Parliament, having won 3.8% of the vote in the 2021 parliamentary election. The current leader of the party is Olaug Bollestad.

Knut Arild Hareide is a Norwegian politician who served as a member of parliament from Hordaland and as the leader of the Christian Democratic Party from 2011 to 2019. He served as Minister of Transport and Communications from 2020 to 2021, and as Minister of the Environment from 2004 to 2005 in the second Bondevik cabinet. In 2007, he announced he would step down from the national political scene for the time being, but he returned when he was nominated as the top candidate for the Christian Democratic Party ticket in Akershus in the 2009 election where he won the county's leveling seat. After Dagfinn Høybråten stepped down as party leader, Hareide was unanimously elected to take his place at the 2011 party convention. In the 2013 election, Hareide was reelected to parliament, this time from his home county of Hordaland.

Linda Cathrine Hofstad Helleland is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She held several ministerial positions in Erna Solberg's government between 2015 and 2021, with a break between 2019 and 2021. She also served as Vice President of the World Anti-Doping Association from 2016 to 2019. In parliament, she has represented Sør-Trøndelag since 2009, and been a deputy representative between 2001 and 2009.
Olaug Vervik Bollestad is a Norwegian nurse and politician for the Christian Democratic Party who is a member of Parliament for Rogaland since 2013 and party leader since 2021, having been deputy leader from 2015 to 2021. She served as Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2019 to 2021.
The Solberg Cabinet was the government of the Kingdom of Norway, headed by Conservative Party leader Erna Solberg as Prime Minister from 16 October 2013 to 14 October 2021. The government was appointed by King Harald V on 16 October 2013 following the parliamentary election on 9 September, consisting of the Conservative Party and the Progress Party as a minority government. On 16 December 2015, the cabinet was re-shuffled. The government secured renewed support following the 2017 parliamentary election. It was expanded on 14 January 2018, when an agreement was reached to include the Liberal Party, and further expanded on 22 January 2019 when the Christian Democratic Party joined the coalition. On 20 January 2020, the Progress Party announced that it would withdraw from the government, citing the decision to bring home the family of a sick child from Syria, which included the child's mother, a Norwegian citizen who had volunteered for the Islamic State.
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 11 September 2017 to elect all 169 members of the unicameral Norwegian Parliament, the Storting. The non-socialist parties retained a reduced majority of 88 seats, allowing Prime Minister Erna Solberg's Conservative-Progress coalition to remain in government. The Liberal Party joined the coalition in January 2018 but it remained a minority cabinet until the Christian Democratic Party joined the coalition in 2019. The three largest centre-left parties won 79 seats. The Green Party retained its single seat, while the Red Party won its first ever seat.
