Innotek is a technology centre located in Geel, in the Campine region of Belgium. It is a public private partnership between the Antwerp province and several organisations located in the Campine region of the province.
The centre was founded in 1987 as a joint initiative of the Regional Development Authority for the Kempen region (IOK) and the local Chambre of Commerce. In 1988, Innotek became a European Business and Innovation Centres (BIC) and is now part of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN). In 1996 the Technologyhouse of the Kempen, a business incubator building was opened in Geel. Since 2009, Innotek also manages the Milieutechnologiehuis (E: Environmental Technology House) in Mol. Outside the incubator, several companies are located on the Innotek area, such as Genzyme Flanders, CIPAL (inter-municipal ICT service centre for the Belgian provinces of Antwerp and Limburg) and Fibre Optic Sensing & Sensing Systems, a research centre.

Flanders is the Dutch-speaking northern portion of Belgium and one of the communities, regions and language areas of Belgium. However, there are several overlapping definitions, including ones related to culture, language, politics and history, and sometimes involving neighbouring countries. The demonym associated with Flanders is Fleming, while the corresponding adjective is Flemish. The official capital of Flanders is the City of Brussels, although the Brussels Capital Region has an independent regional government, and the government of Flanders only oversees the community aspects of Flanders life in Brussels such as (Flemish) culture and education.
Antwerp Province is the northernmost province both of the Flemish Region, also called Flanders, and of Belgium. It borders on North Brabant province of the Netherlands and the Belgian provinces of Limburg, Flemish Brabant and East Flanders. Its capital is Antwerp which comprises the Port of Antwerp, which is the second largest seaport in Europe. It has an area of 2,876 km2 (1,110 sq mi) and with over 1.85 million inhabitants as of January 2019, it is the country's most populous province. The province consists of 3 arrondissements: Antwerp, Mechelen and Turnhout. The eastern part of the province comprises the main part of the Campine region.
Limburg is a province in Belgium. It is the easternmost of the five Dutch-speaking provinces that together form the Region of Flanders, one of the three main political and cultural sub-divisions of modern Belgium.
Malle is a municipality located in the Campine region of the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the villages of Oostmalle and Westmalle. On 1 January 2013 Malle had a total population of 14,950. The total area is 51.99 km² which gives a population density of 288 inhabitants per km².
Geel is a city located in the Belgian province of Antwerp, which acquired city status in the 1980s. It comprises Central-Geel which is constituted of 4 old parishes a/o towns: Sint-Amand, Sint-Dimpna, Holven and Elsum. Further on around the center are the parish-towns of Ten Aard (N), Bel (E), Winkelomheide (SE), Stelen, Oosterlo and Zammel (S), Punt (SW) and Larum (W). On December 31, 2016, Geel had a total population of 39,535. The total area is 109.85 km2 (42 sq mi) which gives a population density of 320 inhabitants per km². Geel’s patron saint, the Irish Saint Dymphna, inspired the town’s pioneering de-institutionalized method of care for the mentally ill.
Herentals is a city in the province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the city of Herentals proper and the towns of Morkhoven and Noorderwijk. On January 1, 2006 Herentals had a total population of 26,071. The total area is 48.56 km2 (18.75 sq mi) which gives a population density of 537 inhabitants per km². Saint Waltrude is the patron saint of the city.

The Flemish Diamond is the Flemish reference to a network of four metropolitan areas in Belgium, three of which are in the central provinces of Flanders, together with the Brussels Capital Region. It consists of four agglomerations which form the four corners of an abstract diamond shape: Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp and Leuven. Over five million people live in this area, with a population density of about 820 per square kilometre.
The Campine (French) or De Kempen (Dutch) is a natural region situated chiefly in north-eastern Belgium and parts of the south-eastern Netherlands which once consisted mainly of extensive moors, tracts of sandy heath, and wetlands. It encompasses a large northern and eastern portion of Antwerp province and adjacent parts of Limburg in Belgium, as well as portions of the Dutch province of North Brabant and Dutch Limburg around Weert.

Westmalle Castle is located in the village of Westmalle, which is part of the municipality of Malle in the Campine region of Flanders, Belgium. Westmalle Castle is situated at an elevation of 29 meters.
ETAP Lighting is a Belgian company manufacturing lighting and located in Malle. President of the Board is Christ'l Joris, who is also president of Agoria Flanders and of Flanders Investment and Trade.
Science and technology in Flanders, being the Flemish Community and more specifically the northern region of Belgium (Europe), is well developed with the presence of several universities and research institutes. These are strongly spread over all Flemish cities, from Kortrijk and Bruges in the Western side, over Ghent as a major university center alongside Antwerp, Brussels and Leuven to Hasselt and Diepenbeek in the Eastern side.
The Arenberg Research-Park is a science park founded by the KU Leuven and located nearby the Arenberg campus of the university in Heverlee (Belgium). The science park provides a bio-incubator for spin-offs of the university and space for companies active in research and development.
The Waterfront Researchpark is a business incubator and science park located in Niel (Belgium) associated with the University of Antwerp (UA). The researchpark of about 320,000 square metres is located on the clay quarry site of the former Kapittel brickwork factory. It is a joint initiative of the University of Antwerp, the Regional Development Authority Antwerp (GOM), the University Business Centre of Antwerp (UBCA) and SOFICOM Development (ESDE).
The Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen was a university college where students could obtain a professional bachelor's degree in several domains. There was also the opportunity to study for a master's degree in engineering in agriculture (bioscience) or an engineering degree in electronics. In 2012 the institution fused with Lessius Mechelen and Lessius Antwerp under a new name: Thomas More University College.
Strategic Plan Campine is a non-profit organisation located in Turnhout, Belgium. Its aim is to promote the social and economic development of the Campine region of the province of Antwerp. The organisation runs the PLATO-program for the support of Small and medium enterprises in the region and developed a strategic plan for the development of the Campine region.
The Campus Blairon is a business incubator, education site, local government site, medical post and a seminar centre located in Turnhout in the campine region of the Antwerp province (Belgium). Both the Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen and the Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen are located on the Campus.
The Princes Park in Retie is located in the Campine region of the Antwerp province in Flanders, Belgium. It is a popular park for walking, jogging, cycling and sightseeing.
