Innuendo is a Malaysian band, best known for their cover of the Carefree's evergreen ballad, "Belaian Jiwa", and most recently[ when? ], their 70s style single, "Only Dancin'".

Innuendo is one of Malaysia's premier R&B groups, formed in 1992 when a love for R&B and Soul music brought Reymee bin Mohamed Hussein (born on November 15, 1976), Shamshul Azhar bin Nazeer, and Ahmad Tajuddin Bin Mohamed Tahir (born on August 27, 1974) and Saiful Amir bin Abdul Wahab (born on November 1, 1971) together. As a multi award winning group which contributed in re-introduction of boy-band scenes locally, Innuendo also successfully re-introduced a cappella tunes to Malaysian audiences after decades of being unheard on mainstream media. After the departure of the fourth member, Sam, on August 20, 2002, this local harmony quartet-turned-trio continued with a new album, BrandNuEndo, and performed at award shows including AIM 2002 (Anugerah Industri Musik 2002) where they also picked up an award, and venues around the country including at Planet Hollywood every Sunday in August 2002.

Mohamed Mohamed el-Amir Awad el-Sayed Atta was an Egyptian hijacker and one of the ringleaders of the September 11 attacks in which four United States commercial aircraft were commandeered with the intention of destroying specific civilian and military targets. He served as the hijacker-pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 which he crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center as part of the coordinated attacks. At 33 years of age, he was the oldest of the 19 hijackers who took part in the attacks.

Singapore embassies attack plot

The Singapore embassies attack plot was a plan in 2001 by Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) to bomb the diplomatic missions and attack personnel of the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Israel based in Singapore. There were also several other targets. The plot was uncovered in December 2001 and as many as 15 people were arrested in Singapore within a month. Further investigation and intelligence prompted the detention of another 26 persons from 2002 to 2005. As of 2006, 37 of them were still being detained without trial, under the Internal Security Act. Four had been released on restriction orders.

<i>Innuendo</i> (album) 1991 studio album by Queen

Innuendo is the fourteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 4 February 1991 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Hollywood Records in the United States. Produced by David Richards and the band, it was the band's last album to be released in lead singer Freddie Mercury’s lifetime, and their most recent one to be composed of entirely new material. It reached the No. 1 spot on the UK album charts and stayed at that position for two weeks, and also peaked at No. 1 in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland, staying at No. 1 for three weeks, four weeks, six weeks, and eight weeks, respectively. It was the first Queen album to go Gold in the US upon its release since The Works in 1984.

Malaysian Idol television series

Malaysian Idol is the Malaysian version of the Idol Series that started in UK, similar to shows such as UK's Pop Idol and American Idol in the franchise. This show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Malaysia, with the winner receiving a major record deal, although some runners-up have achieved enough fame to ink record deals of their own. Like any other Idol show, the winner is decided by public votes. The Malaysian Idol series has gained a following in Malaysia from people of all ages partly due to their interest in American Idol which had been introduced a few years prior. Malaysian Idol has been broadcast to Malaysian viewers via terrestrial television, 8TV and TV3.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, colloquially known by his initials as MBZ, is the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. He is seen as the driving force behind the UAE's interventionist foreign policy and is a leader of a campaign against pro-democracy movements in the Arab World. Due to the ill health of the UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, Mohammed bin Zayed was entrusted with most day-to-day decision making of the emirate of Abu Dhabi as the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and most of the presidential public affairs of the state and hence, he is sometimes considered as the UAE's de facto ruler. In 2019, the New York Times named him as the most powerful Arab ruler. In 2020, the New York Times called him "one of the most powerful men on Earth." The Al-Ma'unah was a spiritual Islamist militant group based in Malaysia. The group was made famous by their audacious raid on 2 July 2000 on a Malaysian Army Reserve camp in the early hours of the morning and stealing weapons from the armoury. The group was later cornered in the village of Sauk, Kuala Kangsar, Perak and was involved in a stand-off the against the Malaysian Army and Royal Malaysian Police forces. The siege was ended when Malaysian security forces, including the army 22nd Grup Gerak Khas and police VAT 69 Pasukan Gerakan Khas, stormed the camp in Operation Dawn.

Zaini bin Mohamad Said is a retired Malaysian Army general officer. His last rank was leftenan jeneral and his last position was as the Malaysian Army's field commander. Zaini is well known for his role in the surrender of Mohamed Amin Mohamed Razali, the leader of the Al-Mau'nah group that staged the arms heist at Battalion 304 Rejimen Askar Wataniah and the subsequent siege of the group at Bukit Jenalik, Sauk in Perak. Zaini was awarded the Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa (SP), Malaysia's highest gallantry award, for his role during the Al Mau'nah siege.

Tun Mohamed Suffian bin Mohamed Hashim was a Malaysian judge, eventually serving as Lord President of the Federal Court from 1974 to 1982. He had served as Chief Justice of Malaya.

Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai, known professionally as Yuna, is a Malaysian singer-songwriter. Yuna's initial exposure came through the viral success of her music uploaded to Myspace, which received over one million plays. This online success alerted the Indie-Pop label/management company to her music, and in early 2011 she signed with the Fader Label. She is best known for her collaboration with Usher on her breakout single "Crush" which peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard Adult R&B chart.

Dato' Sri Tajuddin bin Abdul Rahman is a Malaysian politician. He has also been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Salak since March 2008 and the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry from May 2013 to May 2018 under former Prime Minister Najib Razak. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a major component party in the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.

Ismail bin Mohamed Said is a Malaysian politician and the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Kuala Krau constituency in Pahang.
