IACER - Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research is a researched based college situated in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is established in 2001 and it is affiliated to Pokhara University. [1] [2] The aim of this institute is to provide advanced research degrees in the Humanities and Social Sciences, with English Studies at the heart of the academic experience. [3]

Tara Air Pvt. Ltd. is an airline headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a subsidiary of Yeti Airlines. Tara Air was formed in 2009 using aircraft from the Yeti Airlines fleet and is based at Tribhuvan International Airport, with a secondary hub at Nepalgunj Airport. The airline operates scheduled flights and air charter services with a fleet of STOL aircraft, previously provided by Yeti Airlines. Drona Prakash Rasali is a Nepalese Canadian who stood Board First position topping School Leaving Certificate (Nepal) in his high school education, i.e. national board examinations of Nepal, commonly abbreviated as SLC, held in 1972. He is the only person from Dalit communities of Nepal to obtain the most coveted rank in the history of SLC Board Examinations.

Mahesh Chandra Regmi was a historian and archivist of Nepal. In 1977, he became the first Nepali to receive the Ramon Magsaysay Award, for creating the Regmi Research Series. It was in recognition of his “chronicling of Nepal’s past and present, enabling his people to discover their origins and delineating national options.” In honor of the contributions made by Regmi to the scholarship on Nepal, the Kathmandu-based academic NGO Social Science Baha instituted the annual Mahesh C. Nepal competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. Dachhiri Sherpa represented the country again as the only athlete. A contingent of seven officials and one coach were also part of the Nepali delegation. Sherpa competed in his final games during the 15 km classical race.

Phupu Lhamu Khatri is a Nepali female judoka and Olympian. She won a gold medal for Nepal at the 2016 South Asian Games, and went on to bag the Female Player of the Year Award at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award in the same year.
