20 boys and girls in their teens live like teens did in 1955. The teens live several weeks at a boarding school and live under the rules they had in the 1950s.

Norsk TV1 was a Norwegian television station. Norsk TV1 started in 1989. It was focused on Norwegian shows and films, and produced a lot of entertainment shows for its weekend programming. On week days, the station's programming consisted of selected re-runs from last weekend. As Norwegian state television (NRK) was particularly strong during week-ends, the station did not do very well. Its owners closed it down and sold remaining assets and rights to TVNorge in 1989 after failed negotiations to join forces with them.

Petter Wilhelm Blichfeldt Schjerven is a Norwegian television host, known from Typisk norsk which aired on NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Schjerven has previously worked as the host and scriptwriter for the children's program Midt i smørøyet and as the producer of the radio program Holger Nielsens Metode on NRK P3, among others. Dansefeber is the Norwegian iteration of the dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance. It was broadcast on TVNorge (Norway) and hosted by Kjetil Tefke in its first season (2006) and Henriette Lien in the second (2006-2007). The winners for seasons 1 and 2 were Adil Khan and Hanna Mjåvatn, respectively.

Ylvis is a Norwegian comedy duo consisting of brothers Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker. They debuted as professional variety artists in 2000 and have since appeared in several countries in variety shows, comedy concerts, television shows, radio shows and music videos. They hosted the Norwegian talk show I kveld med Ylvis (2011–2016). Their song and music video "The Fox ", written and filmed for the talk show, went viral on YouTube in September 2013. The video currently has over 1 billion views as of April 2021. They released an album called Ylvis: Volume I, a compilation of ten older singles. In 2018 the brothers released a series titled Stories From Norway, in which the Ylvis brothers collected headlining stories from Norway and presented them as short, musical documentaries.

The top trending video of 2013 on YouTube, "The Fox" was posted on the platform on 3 September 2013, and has received over 1 billion views as of late March 2021. "The Fox" peaked at the top of the Norwegian Singles Chart and was hugely successful in the United States, where it peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks, and was, before the U.S. release of "Am I Wrong" by Nico & Vinz, the highest-ranked song by a Norwegian artist on the chart since A-ha's number-one song "Take On Me" in 1985.
